Dreadlord with halberd conversion

Post by Mordrin Spiteblade »

Hi all, this was a WiP when I did my peg master, its made of parts from 5 different models and I'm really proud of him! If anyone has any opinions or critiques that would be fantastic! KoW and 9th age have rekindled my modelling mojo, I'm currently working on a steed master. The current dark steed looks very weedy with him on it so I'm looking for any recommendations for an alternative dark steed model?

Body from High Elf noble, head of a shadow warrior, crest from dreadspear champ, Black guard halberd and arm and the pauldrons are made of the neck armour from the black dragon.

Thanks very much! I wanted to go for a sort of pre-sundering nagarythian feel, the noble is still clad in the style of Ulthuan with scales, decorative breast plate, plenty of bright colours and shiney brasswork but begining to look more aggresive in style with skulls here and there and a big unglamourous killing tool of a halberd, all wood and unadorned steel.

I'm working on two steed masters one of which will be a battle standard and a "sword and board" lord/master on foot. Experimenting with a bit more green stuff this time!

Looks great, very unique and he definitely evokes a solid pre-sundering aspect.
