Thanks LD,

the yes or no never really crossed my mind - I probably should have given that I am going for a Slaanesh theme.

It was great to paint a unit like this with such vibrant colours and lots of gold, typically all my dark elves have been done in quite dark tones.

I also liked having them as an all female units and finishing the crossbows off with a string (makes them look good IMO)

Looking forward to seeing yours.

Croosbows are looking great.

I had a go at a Slaanesh army a while ago but never got around to getting some proper elves in it, only the cavalry.

The theme was dark almost black armour and a dark purple colours. I just relied on the damonettes and icons to say it was Slannesh lol.

Thanks for the link With hatred - that's another nice looking army you have there. I like the model using Morathi's head - nice pose.

FEBRUARY PAINTING CHALLENGE COMPLETE - SOMETHING BIG!

This was a pain in the #%$@ to paint assembled but a joy to see it complete! I really wanted to continue the Slaanesh colour scheme with lots of highly polished silver and gold. The hair colour of the two attendants finishes the piece well.

Now I might get a head start for next month on a nice converted unit I have.

Nice model and paint job! The only suggestion would be to make a bit more use of the mirror such as a reflection or shining white dot to make it stand out as much as the rest of the model.

Looking forward to that unit as you have always been a master of the conversions ;)

Thanks LD - the photo is quite deceiving and looks very flat the model has bling all over it when the light hits it.

The mirror is painted with solid Mithril Silver and is shinny as! All the gold is Retributor Armour, it feels very unnatural for my dark elves to have so much bling but hey it's a Slaanesh army :D

Ah that explains it, great to hear! Any chance to an WIP army shot so far?

Hmm - to early for a WIP army shot, dont want to give the rest of the units in the army away just yet.

The next unit is a beauty! Might get it finished by the end of the month at this pace. :D

I am really churning through it this month and have managed to finish another unit!

Malekith has his Black Guard so why can't Morathi have a personal guard as well!

Here is a conversion of her personal guard the "Gorgon Guard" - loyal subjects to Morathi and the Cult of Pleasure. They wield large halberds and have heavy golden armour adorned with fine cloaks of winter wolves fur or the skins of their first love.

The gold in this army so far is staggering - there is plenty of bling!!! Unfortunately the photos do not so it justice.

Not sure what I am going to paint next.

Awesome and fluffy conversion, nice idea with the cloaks.

My vote goes to the Assassin or Morathi herself.

I did this conversion quite some time ago and have looked forward to painting it ever since - but never gotten around to it until now. I know dark elves are not supposed to have mutations, but being a sorceress I could not resist the opportunity to use some slaanesh bits.
