I won't be able to participate this time, but I enjoy watching your progress guys.
@Daeron: Those Dark Riders are superb, they don't have to wear black to be Dark. Also the Khrone guy rocks.
@Cultofkhaine: I just love those salamanders ! Excellent conversion.
@Sabious: The gobbos are cute, very nicely done.
@Malys the younger: Malekith on foot looks great and the OSL is well executed.

I love your cultist Cult ;) Looking forward to your new game.

Duckman I like your colours ;) You could try out some orange and yellow to highlight the red, I found it makes even more striking. As Dearon I also love the models and have 50 of them left, I think they are going to be my next project as soon this current army is finished.

I finally finished the BSB on Divine Altar (Cauldron of Blood)!

I hadn't really thought about it yet! No one in my gaming group really bases their minis outside of gluing on some extra bits, so I have next to no idea how to base
Lord Drakon, that's a good idea! I will experiment. These are the first minis I'm planning to do a wash/highlight strategy on; in the past I have mostly just basecoated and picked out details without washing. The more I read about painting, the more it seems like base/wash/highlight is the way to go for realism and depth.
Loving the Cauldron, my eyes are drawn up the stairs and the contrast with the banner is great

Progress! Added some belts/cloths and decided to use The Fang as secondary highlight color. Didn't love the effect of a darker red wash, I found it made the model kind of muted. Now I just have the blades on the front of the crossbows, the magazine, bolt holder, boots, some cloth, leather pouches, shields, the standard, and highlights/touch-ups left

I am working on my last unit for the army, a second unit of Dark Riders.

Here is the first one:

As you can see I upgraded their repeater crossbows, I did the same to all other dark riders and shades in the army, hopefully it will increase their shooting at the tournament ;)

The other four dark riders all have specific conversions to give them some extra character, to be updated soon!

That is AWESOME! Very cool model and paint job. May I ask, how did you accomplish the glinting/sheen effect on the horse itself, on the flanks/shoulders and face?

Made lots of progress and hoping to actually be done by Friday! Minus a few touchups I think the rank & file is done, just need to do a few shields and finish the banner. I'm a little worried about gluing shields to the back of the Darkshards as they may not rank up with bows poking into shields on their back (plus I'll hide all the painting I've done!) but I have a few built as spearmen, plus the champion and BSB need shields so I'm going to do a few at least.
Here's the banner, not finished yet and I decided to glue a few heads to the top of the spikes as trophies (one fresh, one old; the prized decayed cranium of a particularly troublesome general).

I too am running late--real life stuff intervened this weekend and prevented me from finishing up :|
Hopefully coming soon!

Personally after painting 15 minis, I'm hoping to focus on one or two this next month--maybe paint up my sorceress model.

Sounds like a good idea - lets make it a Hero or Lord choice again this month.

I too am a bit behind - must try extra hard this month :D

BSB assembled! Posing this arm was hard, I don't like that her face is covered but I couldn't seem to find a good place for the standard to fit otherwise.
Now I just have a couple more shields to paint/attach and I'll be (FINALLY) done!

I always found it better to discard that standard pole/banner system and use one from another kit. It looks scads better that way, and leaves you nice long spears for either spearmen or dark rider conversions.

Sweet Duckman5 are you going to paint any runes on the banner or just leave it plain?

I was going to post my Gargantula now, but I was tempted to amp the scenery, so maybe later!

However, for this month's one model thing, I have these two vying for my brush's attention. Gobbo Boss or Rune Smith? :)
