What Army (Except Druchii) Would You Most Like To Collect?

Post by Binky »

I was quite intrigued by the When Will You Quit Druchii? post and so decided to carry out further research...

For me...It'd be Tomb Kings (Already got a HUGE VC army)

If I hadn't gone with Orcs in 40K, I would love to have an Orc army.

Since I did, I chose Skaven instead.

Undead are quite cool as well, but too many people I see already play them so I don't want to "jump on the bandwagon"

Vampire Counts as second - they were going to be origionally what I was going to chose, but my freind had already chosen (and we'd agreed to play different armies) so went fo Dark elves instead.

My freind decided to play Lizard men  .

*Low Whistle* Guys...I think there's a market for a Vampire Counts website...(It's pretty funny really, I've been playing them since the day they came out in 5th. ed. and in oh, 200 battles I've never played another Vamp player...Yet there seems to be tonnes (or tons))

Funny you should say that, I don't know any Vampire Counts players and I'm a Scot.

Ask Witchking, he is Scottish as well.

For me it's probably going to be Khermi as I've always had a fasination with the 'proper' undead of the WFB world! Although I'm currently trying to get motivated to paint up some stuff I've already got for them (warriors, bowmen and chariots) but being a bit sick tends to put you off painting!

My next army will be small force of Slaanesh Daemons as I want an army I can easily use as Allies in larger battles we sometimes play around here (last was 16000pts per side :D with mine 6000 of Druchii)

When the their new book comes out (and I have the cash to put down), I'll pick up Lizardmen as my second army.

I've wanted to play then since 5E.

Daemon Host or Dogs of War. The rest are too common for me to bother ;) (no offense intended to the other armies, they just don't appeal to me as much).

Well, Im slowly amassing an Undead horde (Nechrarch VC). After that I think I may get Slaanesh, or possibly Dwarves. Although I'll actually end up collecting whichever army's out in that WD. God those pics are persuasive!

I would take O&G next, mainly because of Giants and Night goblin fanatics. Funny units with some funny abilities.

Well, I think you can add another Vampire Counts to the list. :)

That's certainly the army, which I would like to collect second.

Maybe Khemri will change my mind, tho, and I also like Slaanesh Chaos and the new Beastmen look quite promising (Hmm... Slaanesh Beastmen).

Orcs & Goblins and Skaven are both a lot of fun, too, for sure.

Armies I would never even think of collecting, would be The Empire, Dwarfs, Lizardmen and Bretonnia, as well as Wood Elves probably.

I'd probably take an empire army with an Inquisitor-theme:

It would include some knights, pistoliers, great swords, militia, crossbowmen and many many flagellants...warrior priests as well.

No wizards, war machines, engineers and steam tanks
Elector Count/Grand Master as Grand Inquisitor...sounds cool to me

If the book ever comes out it would be Chaos Dwarfs 100% all the way, they're ALMOST as good as Dark Elves. But DoW is my other army for the moment.
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore --
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking "Nevermore."
