One thing

Post by Dark Alliance »

If you had to single out one thing, whatever that may be, that you have at your disposal as a Druchii general, that helps you to win games - what would that be?

Guidance note: this is a feel good thread so please, lets not deviate into what doesn't work, or that would work if we also had....etc. Lets be positive! :D :D

My answer is a simple one.

I win most of my games due to manouverability.

Bolts falling on my enemies like rain from warriors and RBTs before my sorceresses blast the enemy to shreds with Blck Horror and then my hth troops clean up the rest.
"The dark elves have everything cool. They are pirate blood cultist ninjas riding dinosaurs and flinging magic. They're metal. They're the most metal race out there, rivaled only by Warriors of Chaos. They bring a cauldron of boiling blood onto the battlefield. You don't get much more metal than that." -- Mostlyharmless on Warseer

But the DR flanking charges! :)

Actually, I love my COKs too. :) I love the all-mounted army (with harpies and shades as support, of course ;) )

umm i don't know if this is what you mean, but mine would have to be deployment, if i deply wrong then i will lose the game simple as that, but if deployeement goes my way, even if my cold ones fail stupidity every time i can still walk away with a draw  the unit that does it for me though..........proably corairs, one of the best core units ( apart from knights)
its not the lies that you say, but what the silence will scream

It be the same thing makes me win my games of 40K with my TAU army.

The flexeability given to me by the power of MANOUVERABILITY mainly from my dark riders.

It allows so mainy more options.

And there's that chinese bloke who devoted an entire chapter in a book to Maneuvering armies.
I'd rather lose a closely fought game then have it all sown up in a couple of turns.

Strangely, been here longer than most of the Admin staff.......

Unit wise, I'd have to say my spearmen. They've held their ground against charges from Silver Helms to Chosen Chaos Knights.

Tactically, I'd say deployment is also an important tool at my disposal. Most of the time I tend to play defensively so its important for me to take advantage of hills, walls, and other features in the terrain.

Dark riders taking out enemy Shamans.
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore --
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking "Nevermore."
