Shades / Raven Cloaks are made again

Post by Calisson »

Good news for those who like units of [WH Shades] / [T9A Raven Cloaks] / [cross out the mention unnecessary for you].

Remember, GW ceased to build these units?
Not a problem anymore!

Excellent! I was still planning to convert a small army of them from Corsair bits, but this might be easier ;)
Why are they called Raven Cloaks though? Is that aT9A thing? That used to be a name for Dark Riders. The Raven Cloaks were a network of spies and messengers who served Nagarythe during the Sundering. I think they even betrrayed Alith Anar in favour of Malekith.. the only valid choice really.

I must admit, it suits these models well :)

It's a T9A thing. Due to copyright restrictions they can't use GW specific names - although they CAN use public-domain names that GW took up, such as Corsairs and Executioners.

If I haven't converted any by then I will most definitely pick up ten.

Hello Guys!

Do not want to open any new thread here. Just for information some new models for your Darks are available on Kickstarter.

Yeah I'm really tempted to pick up one of each mount and rider.

If I hadn't painfully converted 10 shades a couple of years ago, then I'd totally get them as well.
