Dread Elves of Maphria Island

We are developing Dark Elves based on the slaving Sultanate of Zanzibar and colonial safari.

Matthew Klaas de Witte accepted a commission from me to design a Dread Elf from Maphria, with a leopard skin and an enslaved Pygmy Halfling. Gut feeling told me he was the right man to pioneer this field. Be welcome to leave a comment for him under the artwork on Deviantart. Master de Witte has a deft hand at playing with historical styles in fantasy artwork, as can be seen in his gallery!

Now a Homebrew Army book has been made to reflect the Safari Dread Elves in Taphria.
Dread Traffickers of Maphria Island

Concept:
Far from the classic “urban” Dark Elves, this AB focuses on the more agile troops found in an overseas outpost.
- They enhance the DE freedom spirit to new heights, they know no moral bound and care not about
continental homeland politics;
- The Corsair basis is enhanced, the maritime link is stronger than ever; Corsairs have established overseas
their own Cult, a bit perverted compared to the other ones, and have created a society run like a Mafia;
- Beastmasters have found there a paradise of new cute animals to kill or coerce; care was given to give a role
to most GW's Idoneth Deepkin models; animal names from real African folklore.
- An association with half-snakes Nagas is now fully developed, with an access to monstrous infantry units,
the Nagas under the command of a special Medusa character. Here as well, maritime/riverine possibilities
are enhanced.
