It better not be ''The Green Knight''! I think it is rather obvious that Valten is the most likely champion of light.
jupp, i agree with the latter 8)

although one must wonder why they make a new model of Valten so soon after they've released the second...

because Valten was on a shopping spree. I don't know, well you can't be expected to be a Champion of light (whaty evrybody thinks) and have no Runic dwarven armour, and neither can you have no CoL without a Carnasaur (still don't know why he chose a HE horse)

Maybe it's to cold for a Carnosaur in the Old World...

But anyway, three models were announced for Valten right form the start. So, there's no surprise.

Really? i must have missed that, but anyway just the sheer amount of work on him more than anything shows that Valten is the CoL, imagine the nice fight when Valten faces off with Archaon in cc.

Fluff wise Valten would win... Or not, but then he wouldn't be Champion of Light....

Ah well, he could always be saved by a Halfling ;)

I must say though that we here in my gaming club have had a few fights in the arena of death with Valten II vs Archaon and Archaon haven´t won a single one!

Perhaps its bad luck but Archaon seems really sucky, and only being good at killing himself! To bad, because the model is so cool..

On the other hand the Brettonian king didn´t have a shot against Archaon.. So I vote for Louen Leoncouer(Spelling? :P) to CoL so chaos can win!

Because if he was, he wouldn't have a reason to make his silly posts....

The guy on the horse is Valten allright, but personally I'm not convinced he's the Champion of Light. Still voting for Luthor Huss myself...

Gortek? Hm... I believe there should be rules for him... I think one should be able to take him and Felix in a Slayer army.

I mean i hope every day that Aenarion will come back, lol not every day but u kno what i mean. Hes the greatest hero to ever have lived second after sigmar (although sigmar isnt THAT great fluffwise) Aenarion returns would really change the whole timeline greatly... Would he take his sons side, with the dark elves, or would he join the high elves and fight his son?

On another site, someone worked out the Prohpecy...

Wisdom wrote:Forged from the other world, six treasures shall he possess.
Slayer of Kings, Armour of Morkar, The Crown of Domination, The Eye of Sheerian en Dohrgar zijn deomonic steed.

Upon his head the crown shall see all, and open eye will prove woe to mortal kind.

This, of course, is about Archaon and the crowning with the Crown of Damnation and the placing of the Eye of Sheerian within.

Then shall he ride unto the world.

Here will four be united into one. And five shall be the armies of doom.

The four are Khorne, Nurgle, Tcheench and Slaanesh, united in one Undivided. Five we are not sure about, but probably there will be fice colums of march.

Then will the world know that the last war has begun.

With the coming of doom will march a lowly boy. Anger shall be his nourishment and blood his wine.

This was in WD 271. an orphan, a lowly boy, becomes a Champion of Khorne.

And from the land tamed will rise a champion . Disease will be his downfall and saviour divine.

WD 272. A farmer becomes Champion of Nurgle.

A king's son shall be the chosen. In power will he thrive and glory in his name.

WD 273, a Champion of Slaanesh: "His father, Jerg Svengor, was a powerful warlord..."

And with the coming of the end times, the old will fall by the hand of the new."

WD 274, a champion of Tzeentch, about whom is quoted: "By the hand of trhe new, the old has been slain..."

Now, back to the Champion of Light :D

Who is in the running so far ?
ok, then that's settled
as i see it there are two possible ways this is gonna end, either Archaon's horde is defeated by Valten and the others or GW makes some kinda a twist that changes everything.

fair enough, let's say that it is Luthor Huss then, do you honestly believe that in game as well as storywise ,that he could take down Archaon?

I think it was booth motivated and bored. ;)

About Huss: yes, I do think he can take Archaon out, booth gamewise and certainly fluffwise, in combination with Valten, off course.

I think a hero of Middenhen(spelt right?) Leds a daring charge with the knights of the white wolf he mortally wounds Archeon and is killed himself Archeon meets nagash is given the strenght to go on with nagashs necromatic powers They lead the armies of the undead and chaos and Valten Mannfred aaaand some Tomb King ( still angered by Nagash) Kill them both What do you think.
