Awsome Omni just made my day. Hey I will deffinitely be running ASF Knights with champ(not giving him weapon though I'll keep it cheap). Well played indeed!

Regarding the xbow I realy think 20 with muso are enough the rest should be shades.

Hi. I also played in NM and finished 4th overall and best DE total. My shades did wonders for me as always, so I would absolutely recommend you to get a few units of them in your list next time. Fantastic tourney by the way. I am definetely coming back next year if I have the time. Hello, well done...

Trying out Vamp 2400

Hello guys, My best friend plays Vamps since 3rd and I'm always considering on playing on a torunament with Vamps the thing is I have 0 experience using them in a tournament appart form some friendly battles. I know their weaknesses(there arent many ) but actually using them is a different story. So...

thnx a lot all of u guys. I decided to change c.o.k. and make the exc. 30 as well us some more minor changes. As for the death hag BsB what Standard do u suggest?? None. There's no point to give a Hag a special banner unless you intend to put the hag inside the unit with ExE in that case you should...

Very informative and helpful tips in this thread! The way I see it is to opt for shades and harpies due to lower cost if your neede core are already filled in a game <3000 points otherwise start pick up DR units untill core are filled then fill in 1-2 more support slot with either shades or harpies ...

Try something like this minimaxing on the choices you have: Hellebron Death Hag:BSB, CoB Death hag:CoB Sorc lvl2 Metal:Dispel scroll,Ruby Ring(no point to give her ring of hotek unless you want to blow her up) 5 harpies 5 harpies 5 shades 5 shades:extra hand weapons 20 rxb warriors:musician 21 Witch...

Well done congratulations are in order! Ever thought of combining 20 rxb warriors +15 shades(no star) for shooting purpose? I'm toying arround the idea more and more lately especially with fire magic those shades will proove to be deadly vs any light/medium troop or ethereals. I am considering CoK w...

2400 ETC balanced approach

Hello everyone, I was considering somehting different from the Dragonlist (that usually leaves us with minimal magic especially on the defense) so I came up with this list. Dreadlor:ExE axe,Blood Armor, Dragonbane gem Sorc:lvl4 metal, scroll Hag:CoB,BSB 5 DR mus 5 DR mus 20 rxb:mus 40 spears:std of ...

Metal or fire would be good agaist hordes(Dark as well and it's safer to cast), as Red mentioned earlier Witches are a must 30 of them with banner of murder. Also if you include harpies make sure to use them as redirectors s Minotaurs(It takes practice to properly redirect enemies though but that's ...

Fair points Omni, that's mostly why I am reluctant to use high level magic on the other hand though not including the lvl4 means weaker magic defense... I'm seriously considering to either go metal or dark for ETC and most probably dark due to chillwind/bladewind being decen't antishooting(especialy...

It looks like a dangerous list. I might consider adapting it and use it as well on some test games.(although I doubt I'll use it anytime soon on any heavy comp tournaments) How do you find misscast though? Has it ever costed you as much as striking a decisive victory against an oponent? Or sometimes...

The Ogres in our league are little threat. I played an all cav list against them this weekend, removing all of his units while only losing a unit of 7 DR's & 3 harpies. It's the rats that scare me. Slave hordes making a bottle neck into all sorts of warpfire and abom hell has me worried. At tha...

I'm surprised that noone mentioned the regular Dark Elf Spearmen. 6 points for M5, WS4, I5, Light Armour, Spear, Ld8 and Hatred is just sick compared to most other armies. They even can take magic banners! True I would have been surpirsed if noone mentioned them too, they can't get unnoticed. 3) 40...

Usually DE heavy lists are not that strong on the melee department(appart from mindrazor but that's what dispell scrolls are for). So an empire player can use his: 1)gunline,pistoliers,outriders to clear Dark elf chaff then he can proceed with his 2)Hellblaster to weaken the sorcs unit(usually spear...

They have done decen't though in representing different kinds of phalanx units in Rome TW for example or different kinds of heavy cavalry for medieval 2 especially. I am confident. I think magic can be incorporated just as the genarals abilities to rally troops are right now so if one has a spellcas...

Surely all you have to do is take MTW and paint it Warhammer and you have the game that is Rule. Think they'll manage? Just because it's the TW series and these folks have been doing this for ages otherwise I would be mistrusting. Since however I have yet to see any decent WHFB for PC appart from D...

Re: Best bang for your buck unit? (Excluding Hydras of Cours

(Mod's note: hydra mention removed - Calisson) Now onto the actual topic My unit of choice would be either Cold one Knights or Witch elves( Or both if you can afford them). These units accomplish everything you need and they are priced decently. If you need to bypas heavy armor go for CoK. If you n...

Lvl4 magic vs Dragonlord

Hey everyone, I wanted to discuss on the cons and pros of going magic oriented vs having a dragon. From my personal experience since 6th edition I found out that the variance of game outcome was higher when using heavy magic in comparison to a dragon based list. The victories were more decisive as w...
