Re: How do you upgrade witch elves?

Ok, I get it now. Wacky layout but I get it. It's weird because the upgrade is on the we page, but I see it's JUST below the death Hag. Thanks!

How do you upgrade witch elves?

Ok, got the new book. I see upgrades for witch elves but can't figure out how to pay for them. I'm not seeing it in the list section.
Sigh. Hanks!

I had a box of Cold One Knights with a few spare riders in it. That worked great for the Lord.

For the pegasus, I used a steed from a dark rider and some old gargoyle wings I found laying around. I used two pointy ends from toothpicks and some greenstff for the horn. Looks pretty good.

I'd consider breaking your rxbs into 2 units of 18, or even one of 24 and one of 12. You know your skills best, but my experience has been that 12 RXBs do nothing. 20 RXBs kill things. That shaves you off a few points to give the Cauldron a Khainite upgrade, maybe, or a magic item for the sorceress,...

My father, who I believe to be infinitely wise, once quipped: Education is nothing more than a ticket. You can get where you are going on any ticket you have, its just the journey that changes. In otherwords, maybe, for you, a bus pass is all you need to be happy. Or maybe you prefer a train ticket....

Flamers of Tzeench: d6 attacks per at BS4 S4 (or is it S5?), which, by the way, they also get as a stand and shoot reaction along with the skirmishing, T4, W2. The 18" range is the only thing which makes these things survivable. (Unless they've changed since the last time I've seen them across...

What is your least favorite unit to fight and why?

So, one of those moments of curiosity formed this question. When you sit down to game, what is your least favorite unit to see showing up in your opponent's army and why? Right now I'm disliking the skaven wizard with skitterleap and the portable tactical nuke device. Its just crazy to have to be re...

This kind of stuff is annoying, but unless its at a tournament level, we generally take the approach of a friendly conversation. If its intentional, just bite your tongue and play better players.

At a tourney/league, you have to point it out, sadly.

Just my thoughts.

I am glad you have a garden hydra. Do you let it wander about or does it stay with either the flowers and veggies? I am wondering because in the Empire they let goats wander about to keep the grass level low. Maybe hyrdas just eat the weeds and bugs.

Cultivatingly yours,

Hey, a couple of quick thoughts! 1) Get more standards. About 2 if you can do it. As mentioned there is a scenario that will pound you for not enough standards. 2) Combine your RXB into one unit. You can't target two units a turn, but you can force panic tests on one unit a turn. Much more important...

You need more "Mobile" troops, as mentioned above.

WE and BG are meh against HE. ehhhh.... See that depends on if you are running a cauldron list. Being khainite near the cauldron, combined with the 5+ ward, makes WE's a great choice. They get great initiative which kills off the double ASF reroll. We don't have a lot that can do that. Being stubbo...

A well timed use of "The Guiding Eye" could spell victory for you.

I -love- this item. I have only failed to get its point value back in kills maybe 1 in 6 games.

Metal can be very good on Dwarves. However, a couple of thoughts on magic: I'd go with Death for the Magic Engine (Do a wound get a chance at more magic dice). You will completely over power most enemy defensive magic with that. Combine it with Power of Darkness and oooh baby! You got spell casting ...

Banner of Murder seems a bit of a waste as Orcs and Goblins tend not to have uber armor. However, the war banner for +1 Combat Res makes a LOT of sense against a horde army. For tactics, try to split his army up and attack a piece of it at a time. Try using one of the magic lores that forces tests o...

You have a great set of minis. Definately add harpies if you get the chance. They are not as amazing as they were in 7th edition but they are still good at crazy support, warmachine hunting, etc.

Weirdly, I'm somewhat willing to play on after the arrow is shot through my army's chest plate. Its fun to see what pain I can still inflict before I go down swinging.
