Re: AoS: Being a Heretic and modelling/painting Khorne stuff
Thanks.
Blood Warriors = simple conversions (head/weapon swaps) on the ones in the AoS starter box.
Blood Ogors = Dragon Ogre torsos + home made legs (resin cast in a mould made on a pair of green stuff master legs).
Cloaks is mostly green stuff and resin casts.

Thanks for the feedback. The blood is just glue mixed with Tamiya X27(?) on top of clear plastic. Still W.I.P. - and will hopefully look good once finished. Planning to have it look like it is beeing pumped like a fountain of sorts. Many new hobby projects starting up right now... Hopefully I will f...

Dark Elf statues?
Hi! I am planning to build some sort of Dark Elf temple complete with statues and CoBs. Need inspiration on what to add... Would be nice if you could provide me with good examples of DE terrain and statues... Here is my first attempt (still WIP): http://www.skelleftea.org/forening/shimbuka/druchii/k...

Re: GW Painting Guides
I have a few (the dark elf one included), but use them mainly for inspiration as I dont have that many of the new paints referred to.
I use old GW paints (even some from around 1992) and Reaper Master ones (love the dropper bottles).
Nice to flip through though.

Really nice - and I love the details, such as the way the blades of the CoB are painted.

Re: Building enemy holds to conquer
Looking forward to see the end result! As it is really hard to get a good (both nice looking and hard) stone surface from Styrofoam, have you considered covering it with cork bark (or making a RTV mould and cast in plaster)? Example: http://www.skelleftea.org/forening/shimbuka/druchii/styrofoam_cork...

Took a break from my Dark Elfish things, and did something rather different... Not impressed with the official Ungrim Ironfist miniature I tried to make my own. Re: Cauldron of Blood - and other Dark Elfish things by kend
Thanks for the feedback. Painting more than ten minis a day requires an assembly line painting style - I do mine the Dr Faust way. Trying to keep the number of colours to a minimum and finishing a large batch using one colour base a time. No upcoming special event. Was going to a local WH Doubles to...

Re: [PLOG] Teddet's New Dark Elf Army
IMHO: Although the white-grey-red schema is really nice I have problems with it. Mainly due to the use of (the same) red for cloth, sea dragon/CO scales and sword blades - and perhaps blood?. This is very confusing. I think you must visually separate the different red materials more. Washing the sca...

Re: Sea Dragon K-beast - painted
Mixed feelings. Better conversion (really nice!) than paint job. IMHO you need to blend the colours together, especially the white dots as they look like the Caliddyss have been parked under a ladder and gotten splattered by white paint. Use watered down white - or (better) white blended with some o...

IMHO: Altar of the Succubi - "Cauldron of blood with Harpies". Nice but a bit too busy. 6/10 Fenyaa - Halberd Warrior - "Executioner/Black Guard Heroine". Really (x2) nice. Pose will loose some appeal when ranked up. I want a lot of these. 9/10 Liligrith - Exanguinatrix - "W...
