First list can go either way but the second would surely NEED a high sorceress. The reason is simple, you need a general with leadership 9. The Hag can then be a BSB and you keep a slight leadership bonus. Also, a single sorceress means you only need to protect one, not two characters from hunters. ...

First of all, I second Rorks advice. However, if you truly are interested in being a body guard, I recommend you go searching for some info on the job. The only things I know of bodyguards is something I saw on a tv-special about 6 years ago or so, but supposedly, it isn't the easiest of jobs. What ...

Awesome. Nice idea and beautiful execution. The only very minor point I have with it, however, is that is a bit rough for Druchii. I'd imagine Druchii would have smooth polished rock surface all over, but that is basically just nitpicking. ;)

Generally a solid balanced list, but three small points to consider: 1. The CoK are awfully expensive for such a small unit. They are by far the most obvious target in the list. Black guard being the obvious second. Killing a couple will seriously hinder the unit and will severly limit the use of th...

The problem with the spell is as follows: The spells causes close combat attacks. However, close combat attacks have one thing this spell does not state: a base from which they come (well, a model with a base). Normally, this does not matter as the spell deals with characters in units. Against war m...

I agree that the Black Staff is questionable What is so questionable about it? Seems pretty fair priced to me and besides, with the amount of power that DE sorceresses can wield, the list really doesn't need offensive bound spells for added power. Lizardmen and the like do not need any either. Even...

You know Lethalis, it is quite funny. Most of the time you make quite valid and good points, which is something quite scarce on the forums, but some of your responses almost look like they are deliberatly missing the point. How, for example, is the new army less good in a defensive role as the old a...

On the originial subject: The dwarfs would never have sided with Malekith. Dwarfs indeed rule by royal blood, however, that is not really terribly defining for dwarfs. What is defining for the little buggers is their sense of tradition. And by tradition, Malekith got rejected by the elven gods and w...

I think the only time this will matter is tournaments, when you just have to decide and stick with your lists. I expect that in tournaments you would be stuck with flaming attacks and they would be immune to them. In friendly games that's such a minor tweak to your list per opponent that only the m...

Actually, would corsairs with killing blow and frenzy actually be better than witch elves with killing blow against high armour targets? What with no poison using up thier precious wound rolls? No. Against WS4+, T3 and a 1+ save, a single corsair attack with killing blow does on average: 1/6 A witc...

That's sooooooooooo not how math works. Who said it was math? I simply wrote wich saves the HE/DE would get against what strenght, and proved my point that the "non-cheesy" and commonly accepted Armour of Caledor+Vambraces of Courage setup works better against S3 and S4 attacks than the a...

I'd say that a 2+ Rerollable Armoursave and a 4+ Wardsave (HE dragonrider setup by default.) is about as good as the 3+ Armour, Reverse Ward, Regen. HE setup rocks vs S3/S4 Armourpiercing shooting, DE setup rocks vs Warmachine shots. Against S3: 2+/2+/4+ (HE) 2+/5+*/4+ (DE) HE wins by a longshot. (...

i am not so sure here... made a couple of rolls. even a normal 2000k magic force with 2 level2s, 2 scrolls which has one additional ban dice (maybe steals one of your p.d.) is able to hold you down for very long time. instead of the dagger you can take 2 powerstones which cost less (40 vs 35 points...
