Re: [PLOG] Cult of Khaine
I clicked on this with no prior knowledge of what you were doing, and I saw assassins with green blades and thought they must have been hacking through the jungle. I like your warriors with White Lion legs, nice kitbash.

Re: Gold Paint Advice
Plus one to Burnished/Auric Gold. Lately I have been using P3 [boo, hiss] Brass Balls which has much the same effect. Also plus one to multiple thin coats with metallics. I usually wash gold with a thin bluish green wash.

Re: Who wants to buy something Layne built?
Thanks for that. It was essentially a side project of a side project. I bought 10 boxes of Greatswords so I could make big units of uniform troops for a Tilean army. This was a sort of afterthought, since the twin tail comet design has nothing to do with Tilea. It's a very Talabheim design, hence Ta...

Well, I painted 255 minis since mid-May, which I make out is a slightly better completion rate than your 600 all year, so any poo in all this goes on you .

I do like the minutiae of uniforms... what are you trying to do to me? I still haven't finished Mongoblins, or Dark Elves, or anything else I started.

This is remarkable. + 1 power to this project.
I am impressed with the level of effort you have put into this. Would you have an estimate of time spent building this up to the present stage?

Who wants to buy something Layne built?
Hello Dnets, I thought you might like to know, I will be selling a unit I built a while ago, and have finally finished. Here is a picture : http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj61/Arn_Khraidour/eb-gsword-stag-01.jpg What you are looking at is 20 Greatswords, identically armed and armoured, with cust...

Re: Other things in other places
Thanks G, Napoleonics definitely are the best historical wargames era. I once read about the age of Napoleon being considered 'the golden age of military uniforms' and I don't suppose it will ever be topped. I think I can safely say you inspired me to jump in to this, so I'm glad to see you here [an...

Hello Dnets, I would like to be able tell you that this is some sort of Rose of Nagarythe or Mongoblins update but it isn't... although I have been working on Mongoblins so, if you like watching spaces, and if you're reading a forum then I assume you do... watch this space. What this is, is a post t...

Re: Discussion on Fleshing out the New Cult of Slaanesh
Warlocks should move up a slot or two and you should have to take some. Fluff along the lines f, you wouldn't be able to keep them away without losing Slaanesh's favour so you have to include them.

What about crossbows slung on the back instead of shields? Front row with shields ^ also good.

Thanks Aenarion. It could be done cheaper but that would be counter to the purpose. But I do have some progress. I'm calling it finished. There are things I could correct but I'm not sure I want to. Re: Raging Heroes' DE preview
Thanks. I would have to say that from that lot I only like the look of the Vestal Cav. Everything else looks a slight bit overdone. Well, to be clear, the Cav looks overdone too but thats good in this case. I would almost rather use them for warlocks than my old metal Diaz seekers. I for one could n...

Re: In defence of the Black Ark Fleetmaster
It's not his purple pants that are his problem, it's the ground pressure issues caused by his sword leg. He could only be more foolishly equipped if his shoe was a rollerskate.
It's pretty clear that the tank in minimum unit is the only build and tactic for this guy.

Big units of Warlocks maybe. A bit squishy, but a triple threat with movement, combat and magic.

Re: on request, pics of new release
Wow! Enough with the freakin masks already! I am detecting an extreme laziness/cheap vibe coming off of our friends at GE. Give 80% of your new figures covers over their faces and sculpting becomes a lot easier. Surely they would have to sculpt the face before sculpting the cover/mask/helmet over i...
