I have a unit of 30 that never disappoints. Sure they get blasted apart sometimes, but then they take all the heat, while the rest of my army gets in position - and they're great at taking the heat, when blessed with a 5+ ward I wouldn't go any bigger though, they rarely need all 31 attacks to decim...

There is no such thing as women playing warhammer :p

Nah, actually I saw one playing 40K in a shop once, but I had to leave in hurry, because I was overcome by the stench of nerdiness ;)

The CoB is by no means mandatory, its a great choice, if you have witches and execs to make stubborn, but those 200+ points can just as easily be spent elsewhere.

I personally make do with a level 2 sorceress with an extra spell for my army buffs and only rarely lose a game ;)

I'd go for 3 lvl 2s, if you really want to go heavy. Thats 6 spells, just like the lvl 4 and lvl 2 combo, but you get an extra casting of Power of Darkness thrown in the mix, and losing one won't cost you too much. Throw in the dagger, darkstar cloak and possibly Wand of Jet/Power Stone in the mix f...

I love my 30 man exec horde too. But I wouldn't give them a bsb - they're expensive enough already.

I usually just run them with the CoB blessing - though once in a while, I stick a CC Assassin in them just for kicks :)

I wouldn't horde any DE units, except for executioners. They're just too expensive, and you gain very little from the extra points. Horde units need to have high S to be worth it and be cheap to boot. This really doesn't fit any elf units. Especially since the point of going horde is to gain extra a...

You only use the highest wound characteristic, not toughness. Or have I missed something?

Lore of Shadow + lots of attacks..

If this fails, tie things up with an unkillable and stubborn dreadlord - don't do this with the Walter though.

My 30 execs wouldn't allow the competition from some ***** black guards.

My blacks are for some odd reason never where the action is, and leaves all the work to my witches, execs and corsairs :)

As a Empire (and Dark Elves) player myself, I agree that cannons are ridiculously accurate. Blame Mat Ward for removing guess range and adding TLoS. Removing guess range didn't make cannons any less accurate among players with more than a few games on their back. Actually, cannons got their firearc...

Well the master/manticore example isn't quite a parrallel, since you're killing the character first rather than being the last model standing with wounds left over.. and you always have to specify your attacks anyway vs a ridden monster. But the example aside, noone's contradicted you so I assume t...

I find death rather extremely boring. While shadow on the other hand is always helpful. Mindrazor on a multiattack Ld8+ unit is a killer, while hexing T is awesome for shooting etc., the list just goes on. That said, I've stopped bothering about a supreme sorceress. A lvl 2 with the Tome of Furion w...

There really is no need for a lvl 4. Personally, I run a lvl 2 with the Tome of Furion, and she has 'outcast' armies with a lot more magic. Then again DE are one of the few armies that can prosper from having extra casters because of PoD. You'll see hordes, but hordes are expensive, and there are to...

Ask yourself, whether it would look cool. If the answer is yes, chances are that people will like them. But who cares, tournaments are for losers anyway ;)

The common conversion here is cold ones from knights drawing HE chariots w. DE warriors :)

I like it. I'd dump a unit of spears for 3x5 shades with AHW, and I'd think twice about the master, as I have trouble seeing what he adds to the list :)

An opponent has as much right to refuse a game with you for fielding Mengil, as he has for refusing to play you for fielding SCs or dwarfs.

Use the rules RAW if you want to avoid arguments :)

Ogres are big and dumb gluttons, you dangle a piece of mutton in front of their noses and then stab them in the back. They'd probably be decent for mining or construction purposes, but their slouchy look offends delicate elven aestethics, so there is no reason for leaving survivors. They have become...
