you can buy chain from any good hobby shop. I find it very useful esp. in a dark elf army. It's cheap and easy. Once it's in place i like to run a bit of super glue through it so that it can't move around.

I never kill enough in one turn to cause a panic test. Perhaps try and keep your BSB nearby. Otherwise, you're starting to spend a lot of points just so you can use 1 magic item.

Is there a way to edit an army or the units in a game once the game starts? I keep getting things wrong (like base sizes and typos) and then I have to start over.

IMO, top tournament armies are those which provide a lot of versatility. Empire and Vampire counts are the ones I think win the most. Lizardmen are also a power to be reckoned with. Dwarves are fairly successful in my experience but the problem with dwarves is that most tournament winners don't face...

I too think the sorc is too expensive, but she will no doubt give you a strong magic phase and magic defence. I find at 1500 points a level 4 gives you great strength but it means the game revolves around the magic phase. My friends and I prefer to play only level 2 wizards at 1500 points.

What is 'Ard boyz? I'm from Australia and anything I've found through google is for 40k, can't find fantasy.

I already had some of the parts lying around. If you don't it would be pretty expensive. Chariot +Deceiver +WE cmd box as well as a considerable amount on the other parts which you find at various websites.

They don't benefit from ahw according to the wording of the errata. It doesn't make sense to me but that's what it says.
