Re: The Scroll of Truth!

I actually used to follow this as a rule, back when I started. Then I started converting uits out of bits belonging to completely different kits, so it started to be better to keep all kinds of bits at once. And then I backed the Raging Heroes kickstarter... ...actually, now that I think of it, my s...

Re: [PLOG] The Lost Colony

As there seemed to be interest in her, here are close ups of the BSB that was seen on the altar. I have actually had her for a while, she was part of the freebie pack Raging Heroes sent early on and I painted her some time later. https://s19.postimg.org/50vwcjg7n/BSB1.png I fell in love with Raging ...

Re: [PLOG] The Lost Colony

He is playing when he finds some time. What he doesn't do is write reports, because... no time. Neither of us has as much time for the hobby as we would like, but we're doing our best. And thanks very much for the compliments. I have actually painted some stuff during the time I have been off the gr...

Re: [PLOG] The Lost Colony

Breathtaking, as usual! I love the flames from a distance, but I am sure that the models should be superb from close up. Great handpaint on the banner, too. Did you sculpted the phoenix yourself or is it a model bought on shelves? Wondering, how come the ladie's shirt does not ignite? Thanks a lot,...

Re: 2018 PAINTING CHALLENGE

The wall of fire is made using glue gun - I put some baking paper around a bottle of the correct size and "drew" the flames using the glue. Then I coloured them with glass paints to preserve transparency of the glue (because i'm crazy about transparency, you may have noticed ) The same aff...

Re: [PLOG] The Lost Colony

Lord Drakon: I'm sorry for not replying earlier. I must have missed the reply, or something as lame as that. I would like to have an army shot, but I don't trust my photography skills enough. Even with only one model the photos are usually terrible and it's pure luck if it's possible to see the mod...

Re: 2018 PAINTING CHALLENGE

Wow, the knights look awesome. I think my favourite part is how well everything fits together - the theme and colour scheme, the heraldry, the basing... Celenia with her hood also really helps. The banner is great. I've tried using paper and super glue in the past, but this seems like a much better ...

Re: 2018 PAINTING CHALLENGE

Wow, those look really great! I'm amazed at your speed and your skill. In other news, I have finally managed to finish the last crew model for the cauldron I'm working on. This means that the only thing missing is building and painting the base and then placing the three elves and the Avatar. I'm no...

Re: 2018 PAINTING CHALLENGE

I'm not really getting anywhere (except really nervous ). The central avatar, or whatever the big thing in the middle of the alter is. The three attendants are mostly basecoated and the scenery not even started.
With a new job (and keeping the old one) I can't seem to find enough time for painting.

Re: [PLOG] The Lost Colony

Thank you for all the feedback, those are all great points. It seems the tentacle demon is a clear favourite of the forum. Lord Drakon: I can try the lower tentacle, but I imagine the final blow happened just a few seconds ago and now the heroine is pulling the spear out (at least that's what her po...

Re: [PLOG] The Lost Colony

I'm not dead and I have even been painting, even if I'm lazy to take pictures (especially as I'm terrible at photography and the pictures never look good) At the moment I'm working at more things at the same time, the main ones being the altar I have pledged to do for January painting challenge (not...

Re: [PLOG] Reavers of the Shattered Coast

I really love your colour scheme. The combnation of blue and purple looks great, and the rest ties it nicely together. I think my favourite model is the sorceress, so dynamic.
I hope to see more from you. :-)

Re: Need help finding a small bolt thrower/conversion

Thanks a lot to both of you. :-) Errdrigar, that might really be the one. Thanks for the detailed instructions and the photos, they are really helpful. And the wood elf bow is a great idea, it looks so seamless I would never have guess. I'm not sure if the same thing would work on the ship, but your...

Need help finding a small bolt thrower/conversion

I have recently managed to get my hands on a Dark Eldar Raider and have been trying to convert it into a flying corsair ship. I got rid of the gun at the front, but I would probably like to install a bolt thrower or something in its stead (especially as I would like to use it as a Seacutter/Skysloop...

Re: 2018 PAINTING CHALLENGE

I actually got into painting again a while ago. (Thanks to the Song of Ice and Fire wargame - I fell in love with the kickstarter, the lovely models I coulnd't have got me back to the models I had lying at home, and when the pledge manager hit, I was satisfied with my Dark Elves) I pledge to paint a...

Re: Dark Elves from Scylla Models

My signature should have a link to my painting blog. Basically my army (and my boyfriend's, we are a team) is somewhere between dark and high elves - the started as a high elf military colony, but contact was broken over some misunderstandings and some differences in outlook on life and duty and now...

Re: Dark Elves from Scylla Models

I'm glad D.net is not completely dead. Marchosias and me have moved to T9A, but for some reason I have never felt at home on their website and forum, so I drifted away instead. D.net would be the easiest place for me to return to. (And now I've started to think I want that ) I have actually painted ...

Re: Dark Elves from Scylla Models

I don't know how much this forum is still alive (I haven't been active anywhere in ages), but just in case it is... These models are now on kickstarter that ends in three days, so I wanted to bump this thread. I love all the dark elves in there and wish more of them would fit in my army, which unfor...

I'm very glad my little topic was actually of use to someone. I actually learned a lot about models myself while making it. Re: Asrai, Ulthuan and Druchii websites

Seeing as Asrai.org is the place I started, this is very sad news for me. It is unfortunate indeed, but by moving all forums to a single host we can save Asrai. From a user/member point of view, nothing changes. The forum remains available through asrai.org, theme and content included. This is our ...

Seeing as Asrai.org is the place I started, this is very sad news for me. And I am glad the site will be saved. As for a larger merge, I would only welcome it. I think the communities overlap anyway (and I myself have tried to watch all three and have been sadly failing) I would vote for some form o...

Re: [PLOG] Autumn Host by Sabious

That's really great-looking terrain. I especially love the modularity and the fact that I'm not the only one who thinks lakes and marshes should look like such and not like bright blue piece of plastic. Very well done and atmospheric, great job. By the way, are those trees made using hot glue gun, o...
