I was going to suggest the Mandrakes also, and while on the subject of Dark Eldar the previous version of the Archon also has a spell effect hand.

Very striking indeed!
I'm curious though, what do you use the griffons with chariots on top as?
I particularly like the two-headed one.

Like others before me, I felt instantly compelled to vote Yes But it sounds to me like they would be out of place in the army as a whole, in which case the answer is a (reluctant) no. But ultimately, go with what you want to model/paint Also: I love this thread already, both for the humorous respons...

Yes please! I didn't like the historical-setting TW games too much but this I can get behind, sign me up!
Like Amboadine says, when this will be set will matter a great deal... we can only hope it's set before (or during) the End Times for maximum army selection options.

Another bound spell to be chained: Ruby Ring of Ruin.
And in a similar vein to the post about Ogres above, the Wood Elf high magic lore attribute can stack up to silly proportions with chain casts (and with Apotheosis you can heal nearby multi-wound models a lot along the way also).

Re: Cold One Knights
I have 12 of them and can't figure out how to put them in one unit. They physically just don't rank up due to the tails Yeah, it is possible to do it but you need to take it into account when putting them on their bases - either angle them or put them off to the side alternating for front and back....

Re: Garden of Bones 2400Pt List Advice
Not that weird at all, I just used Life myself the other night... in a unit of Corsairs with a Sacrificial Dagger Great weapons are a bigger threat to wound and therefore even if you don't rely on them reaching a war machine or whatever (which you shouldn't, particularly with a small unit) they are ...

Re: Garden of Bones 2400Pt List Advice
The 50% lords/heroes is now errata'd into the BRB, so it is part of the official rules yes - it is no longer just End Times. As for tournaments, that's up to each individual tournament so check their rules and build accordingly. Shades are great, I'd go great weapons maybe for more versatility/threa...

Re: 2.5k army list corsairs
Corsair handbows are very low range so by the time you can shoot anything you are likely to rather charge instead. It does give you a stand and shoot if you expect to be charged, but only the front two ranks can shoot still = unless you are running them very wide that's a lot of points not actually ...

Re: Tips on making Dark Pegasus
I made one from a chaos chariot steed (you can find them on eBay cheap, they get left over when making Gorebeast chariots) adding a pair of dragon wings (I cut mine off a Reaper Bones dragon I had lying around). The rider I made from the cold one knight kit mostly.

Re: Next ET books
Who are they going to combine Skaven with? Will the dwarves make up with them and become drinking buds? Maybe even breed with the rat people? Well, the first two books contain characters from other armies besides their own, so it's not outside the realms of possibility. Sticking with the "Legi...

Re: It is time to state your allegiance.
All hail Malekith, the Eternity King! More excited about joining forces with the asrai than with the asur, but eh, they have their uses for sure. (cannon fodder if nothing else ) It's definitely weird that Hellebron is still following Malekith, and with her all the khainite units - they don't really...

Re: What will you add?
Having all three armies already (well, lots of HE models mainly from my 5th edition days and full-blown DE and WE armies) this certainly opens up a lot of possibilities for me... From the Asur: Sisters of Avelorn (S4 shooting and nice models), Frost chicken, great eagles (because the Asur ones appar...

Re: End Times: Khaine
So, the conclusion of The Sundering series is bundled with this release. I really curious as to how much of the actual End Times story it includes. Is it simply a supplement to the story bundled wit the rules (meaning you need both)? Is it an enlargement of this story and a full novel on its own? I...

Re: Witch Elves and Hags attacks
Fiery breath certainly has more versatility, it is guaranteed to be S4 and can be used in close combat if so desired (that's often where it gets used for me in fact). Between that, Thunderstomp and the normal attacks most infantry units have every reason to fear the hydra.

Re: Witch Elves and Hags attacks
Having Additional Hand Weapon gives you one more attack only, regardless of how many you have to begin with.
So a standard witch elf would get 3 (1 base, 1 AHW, 1 frenzy) and the Hag would get 4 (2 base, 1 AHW and 1 frenzy).

Quickly done indeed, and excellent work at that! I haven't even gotten mine off the sprue yet - and whenever I do paint mine if it looks a tenth as good as this I'll be ecstatic.

Basing the Cauldron for play
I've been slowly putting together and painting my Cauldron of Blood for the past while (it's simply not been a priority for me, and I'd rather take my time and make it look nice (by my standards at least)), but now I'm at a stage where I found a conundrum. If I put it on the base the way it looks li...
