Re: Battleline units

So I spent roughly 4 hours last night catching up on AoS lore and rules and I agree with everything you say Compendium units belonging to their appropriate factions is nice, would've had to house rule it otherwise. Your point about being able to take battleline units from the entire order book isn't...

Re: Battleline units

I find the whole thing confusing to be honest. I Thought the elves unified and what not. Agreed, one of my biggest problems with AoS is that I simply can't like it as much as 8th because I just don't get it. It doesn't make sense to me that the aelves are all in different factions. So no other lega...

Battleline units

Does anyone else feel a little put out by the fact that the only 3 concrete battleline units we have are the darkshard/spear/swords? Other than that we have to have an allegiance to take anything else (which isn't great if you were excited about the scourge privateers and fielding a corsair army). S...

Re: [PLOG] Autumn Host by Sabious

I may be a little late to the party here, but what material did you use on the dwarf cave entrance to create the rocky surface of the mountain? I thought maybe some sort of tree bark but it looks quite thick for bark. Excellent work all round though, love the kharibdyss, and it's taking a lot of eff...

Re: Sylvaneth are out!?

Not as much of a fan of this aos release as I have been the previous ones, but that beetle is excellent. Kinda wish there was an option to field it without alarielle, it would go nicely with my monster collection.

But the infantree (lol geddit) don't look great IMHO.

http://i.imgur.com/74k8Krp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/mi6PIsi.jpg Fiddled with the colour scheme a bit over the last few months. This guy has been an absolute ***** to paint. Assembling him before painting was possibly the worst decision that could've been made and the paint job is actually quite rough...

Re: Wrathbaby's PLOG

Why thank you always nice to inspire people to make pretty things. On the topic of inspiration, the tutorial that pushed me over the edge to make the investment in an airbrush was by a guy on youtube called Medows (Awaken Realms was the name of the channel). The man does brilliant things, definitely...

Re: Wrathbaby's PLOG

Well it's been a while. Between university and Age of Sigmar filling me with terror and doubt for a few months, I've found little time for painting. But the winds of change bring with them happy party fun times, because I own an airbrush now. So without further ago, here is a hydra model I was never...

Re: Warscroll Synergies

I'm currently trying to get into AoS after several months spent having a tantrum. I quite enjoy the look of corsairs, lokhir felheart, black ark fleetmasters, hydras and kharibdyss. Complimented particularly nicely by dark riders and maybe even doomfire warlocks (no point reducing bravery if you hav...

Re: Welcome to the Age of Sigmar

Wait, considering that this is set after the end times, has anyone noticed it's a bit strange that our special characters seem to have miraculously returned to life? (Or the fact that our entire race isn't dead really) Also, how are people planning on working around the whole lack of a points limit?...

Does anyone know for definite if this is 9th edition or not? It seems absurd for it to be 9th, I'm kinda hoping this is the "skirmish game" that was rumoured...

Re: Wrathbaby's PLOG

Apologies for the sub par images that are coming up, but it's 1:24am and the bathroom lighting had to do. Made some decent progress on the bastiladon, just need to do a tiny bit more work on the skinks, inspect for any white bits remaining (spraying models white is so much harder than spraying them ...

Re: Wrathbaby's PLOG

Phierlihy, I suppose that's what it would have to be yeah, that or a dragon. Tbh I just bought it because it's been my favourite model since I started playing warhammer and really wanted to paint it. I rarely use dragons or mantic ores anyway. Glad that everything's working now, and as always thanks...

Re: Wrathbaby's PLOG

The newest griffon or the first one? If the newest one, can you see the other pictures in that post? (the lizardmen and cold one). I edited the links to those images to test and see if what I was doing was correct before doing it to every posted image so far, so if you can see everything in that pos...

I return! With very little to show for my extended period of absence. Re: End Times Archaon

Is there a thread anywhere summarising/discussing these (utterly ridiculous) new rules? I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to think about it. I mean, I just about managed to come to terms with the events of the third end times book, and then I was out of warhammer for a while when the next two came...

I think that may be a good idea Booah. One bare unit from the army book (i.e, 10 darkshards, or 1 chariot) per week sounds fairly reasonable. On another note... http://imageshack.com/a/img537/4985/0odt6Z.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img673/5522/Hb81UJ.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img661/5184/j608OM.jp...

Re: Wrathbaby's PLOG

Okay I warned you all that this was coming. Today I met up with a friend who has been trying to sell his army for some time. For a princely sum of £120 I received the following: 240 clanrats, 9 rat ogres & 4 (maybe 5) packmasters, 10(ish) weapons teams, 2 doomwheels, 1 warp lightning cannon, 9 o...

Re: Wrathbaby's PLOG

Because I already have 10 crossbowmen practically finished ;D

But I do see your point... I could set a certain model count per week, with chariots counting as more than one, 10 maybe? And cavalry would be two... This painting business is hard.

Re: Wrathbaby's PLOG

Thank you all for the kind words Just wondering if anyone could think of a reasonable point limit to complete per week? Struggling to motivate myself without a clear goal in mind. I was thinking approx 150 points but then that would take me 20 weeks to get my entire army done and that would feel lik...
