Re: Welcome to the Age of Sigmar
I don't play that much anymore anyways. I'm into DnD and Dropzone Commander these days. But I still love the models. If this leads to better access to models for me and cheaper models at all I'm in. I can still play 8th. Someone will also take advantage of the gap in rules and make 9th edition fan r...

Re: Pick your Space, sorry Sig Marine chapter now.
They do have a Blood Angels vibe about them. Halos? Gold armour? Death masks? Wings? That's been kicking around in 40k to some degree since 2nd edition. Only fair. 40k's roots are in fantasy battles. The old chaos rules for 40k used fantasy miniatures. In Realms of chaos you could have a goblin wit...

Re: Welcome to the Age of Sigmar
Right now I'm looking at the rule sets that have been released for the old factions and I get a single strong impression; All will be phased out. Once the new range has been released (unified Aelf, Duardin, Seraphon), they'll stop publicising these rules and the models will be discontinued. It seem...

Re: Welcome to the Age of Sigmar
Back when 3rd edition came out they did a similar thing with the armies. Cobbled together rules so your current crop of miniatures could work. In those ancient days dark elves had heavy cavalry and cold ones. No corsairs, black guard or executioners. Essentially our army was crossbows, witch elves, ...

Re: Hashishin loadouts
So my Assassin actual ended up faring very well against those hard greenskins! After that a unit of goblin wolf riders (of 5) kills him. (But they got named Wurzag's Revenge, ha ha ha! ) Experience: I still like the assassin. Manbane is rock solid, but having strength four is not. The cloak is fun ...

Re: How do we the Druchii keep losing?
As the timeline hasn't advanced since the Storm of Chaos and actually went backwards to reset for 7th ed, the dark elves don't "keep losing". In reading the DE current fluff there are plenty of battles where the DE are the winners, even against the high elves (Lokhir doesn't lose very much...

Re: [PLOG] Blood Bowl Dark Elf Team (17.2.)
I think they call the tool a 'seal hook'.... probably a bit too morbid though. Opponents might use that, but it's little too gory for my tastes anyway. Interesting thought, though. You Europeans... so squeamish. Either way the idea is hilarious and fits right into the whole BB theme of silliness an...

Re: Dwarves...no longer rumored
It will change the meta that is for damn sure. Suddenly certain choices in everyone's army aren't as great an idea anymore. With that army a gunline had better be ready, as the dwarves will actually make it to your lines for a charge turn 2 or so, and they can take the punishment as good as chaos ca...

Re: Dwarves...no longer rumored
And now that reality sinks in.... Everyone always freaks out about new armies and then they go to make their lists and things almost never look like they did when you first read the book. I think gyros are a bit of a laugh, and will be quickly taken care of by other skirmishers. I don't think they w...

So far as the team badge, wouldn't a clubb'd seal (Al-La Canadiana) be more fitting? I think they call the tool a 'seal hook'.... probably a bit too morbid though.

Define evil. From the dark elf perspective they aren't evil at all. They are just getting their own back after being screwed over for so long.

LOVE the icy bases, very sharp and clever how you did that. I'm working on some icy bases myself but they are a bit more involved.
Check here for tutorial on different ice bases, maybe you can get a few ideas for adding something to them!

Re: The Dwarf Rumor Mill sucks
I really wished that they did dirgibles or air balloons instead, with propellers on the back. Would have been way cooler than the miniature version of the Chinook but I guess that's the risk you take when you do the multiversion plastic kit. Not that I'm complaining, my little 500pt dwarf army is ju...

Re: Chariot Dreadlord?
I depends on whom you are fighting against. Against cannons and other war machines its not the best option, however against other low shooting type armies it's lots of fun. I used to run two masters on chariots as my general and BSB and had great success with them against chaos, orcs and gobbos, TK....

I think the merwyrm is the ugliest model ever produced by GW. I would go with a tyranid conversion on this one, make it look like a giant crab.

That whole tactic works better with the beastmasters BS. Really can't hide from him then, as it's gonna take a lot of modifiers to make him miss.

Re: scourgerunner chariots?
Pulling fliers into woods, or any monster into terrain is a great idea. Esp if its magical and attacks them. I do think its a bit expensive, however a M9 chariot has to have a use, and putting on a flank is pretty dangerous to many cavalry units as now you can fire down the line with the bolt throwe...

Re: New Models vs Old Models
Hi all, I am curious to hear from those with experience how they think the new models look mixed in with units with models from 6th/7th edition. In particular I am interested to know if the new and old Black Guard models look ok together. I have a unit of 20 Black Guard that I need to increase to a...
