Re: Shades hunting war machines
I have found that quality opponents know how deploy chaff so that their WM's are protected from scouting units. But in a perfect world, you deploy them behind the enemy battle line and close to the WM. Failing that, you deploy them out of a charge arc so that they can get there in a couple turns. Fa...

Re: Lore Attributes for Warlocks?
No it doesn't, it begs for a rulebook read: Lore Attributes: "[...]A lore attribute might give certain spells an extra effect against a particular troop type, or alter the way a spell behaves. Regardless of the detail, a lore attribute only has an effect on spells from its own lore." So c...

Re: High elves casualties
You could have the body kneeling maybe, like his head had just been cut off. That would be easier to convert I think. You could use a spearman, cut the model below the knees, and glue that to the base. Cut the leftover piece to go behind that, rework the arms a bit, and you've got a freshly beheaded...

This is awesome!
Personally, I think the lizard men legs look a bit spindly. They don't seem thick enough for that massive torso. That's my opinion, but I think you could use the lizard legs as a base and sculpt them up the thickness they need.

There is no indication that they do either.

Lore Attributes for Warlocks?
Do Warlocks gain access to the lore attribute of the spell they cast? The BRB is vague about whether or not it is the caster who gets the attribute when they select a lore, or the spell itself that triggers it. So do they or don't they? EDIT: I failed to realize that it only pertains to Doombolt. So...

Re: Doomfire Warlocks Spell Card
Yeah, nothing to say they dont. Yah, but there's nothing that says they do either. Warlocks do not have the Dark Lore, nor do they have Lore of Death. They have no lore, they just know two spells. The BRB is vague about whether or not attributes apply to casters who choose a Lore or spells taken fr...

According to Wikipedia Gryroscopes were invented in 1852. That seems fairly advanced for Warhammer, but better than I expected.

Re: Bironas timewarp on executioners?
Dalamar is correct. ASF+ASL+ASF does not give you ASF because the ASF only counts once. Doesn't matter how many times you give them ASF or ASL, they each only count once and will cancel each other.

Warhammer Online was great! I played for a year, maybe year and a half. So many people tried it and then just quit, but I loved it. Most fun I've ever had playing a game.

Re: My First List -- The Army of Ghrond 2500pts
It is a weakness of the list that you have nothing that can kill a war machine. And I would never leave home without dark riders. Ever. I would drop a corsair unit and get a couple units of DR and then think about harpies or shades. Harpies are unpopular these days, but they are better WM hunters th...

Re: Combat sorceress?
Dark and the Amulet can be nasty. Use the Tome to make sure she gets Soul Stealer, then bump her wounds. If you can just add two or three, a DP shouldn't be able to kill her in one turn. Second turn he very well might kill himself. You may very well lose your wizard, but my guess is that will hurt y...

Benji,
This is my model flipping the bird. He's a foot model for a Dragon Lord, so the middle finger is flipping off whoever killed his dragon. He always got me a good modelling/painting score at tourneys!

Re: 2500 Points - The Bloodwrack Shrine Bulwark
If you really want to use the Bloodwrack to tie up a unit, might I suggest 10 BG? You can run them with no command and deploy three wide. Then when you put the Shrine in front you have a stubborn LD9 unit that is very difficult to wound. Seems like it would be a more effective tar pit than swords.

Welcome to Warhammer, and to Dark Elves! Glad to have you. Warriors of Chaos are like a hammer. They are resilient and smash into enemies head on and pound them down. We, on the other hand, are more like a stiletto. With experience, you will learn how to stab in just the right place to deliver the d...

Two units are essential for taking out most war machines. Cannons, though, only one.
This is where Harpies are still very valid. Sure, they went up, but I still see them having a place.
