Re: New prices for next wave
Isn't the Warhost the supposed holiday bundle that GW releases every year before Christmas? Last year it was Necrons, Space Marines, Vampire Counts and Empire, and this year it is supposed to include a Dark Elf box (according to BoLS). - Loran Could you please give us the link to the source? Re: PLOG! A first for me.
Thanks for the WIP pics! I've always (on the two or so times I tried it...) had a problem with modelling cloaks, which in the end usually turned out as flat sheets with bumps draped on the shoulders of the model in question I think the problem was in trying to do the whole thing at once, scales and ...

Re: PLOG! A first for me.
I love that cloak!!! I see that and I get a feeling similar to what you probably have when you learn to walk as a toddler. Seriously mate, awesome work! Did you use any sort of skeleton support inside the cloak, or did you sculpt it all with GS (or the brown version of it) onto the model? - Loran

Re: Witch Elves: are they a trap, okay, or our best core by
It's nice that the WE are Core and like Dalamar mentioned earlier, they are only 1 point more than they used to be but they gained ASF. However, I don't think they are a "ZOMG LOLZ MUST HAVE!!!11!"-unit. They have an impressive offensive capability, but they are very squishy, especially if...

Re: Dark Riders and RXB
I feel that the RxB upgrade is good, as like Dalamar said, the RxBs make the Dark Riders more universal. I've lost count of the times when the unit would not have been able to do anything if they didn't have the RxBs. The possibility to shoot at something if there's nothing else to do is quite usefu...

Re: Did FedEx Screw Anyone Else Out of Their Pre-Order?
Yeah, I never really figured out the "If you pre-order the stuff to your home, we'll ship it on the Monday after the release." stuff... What they're basically saying is "Don't pre-order stuff home." Taking into account the way GW red shirts are trained, having you pick your mail ...

A funny thing that, considering that the tracing paper has always been on the back of the transfer sheet in the new Warrior boxes (4 kits) I bought
But yeah, it's there to protect the transfer sheets...

Welcome back, mate! Nice to see other old D.netters return to the shenanigans of the site. I returned to "active" status on the site with the new book and models. I'd been browsing occasionally in between, but don't think I had posted for quite a long time Thanks for the battle rep, it sho...

Re: Hordes ??? where to go from here ?
What do mean by MSU? And hammer units ? MSU = Many Small Units, ie. an army where you have a lot of small units (duh... ). This would mean a lot of units at the minimum unit size, or close to that amount of models... Hammer = a unit that hits hard and brings the pain to your opponent. The opposite ...

Re: Did FedEx Screw Anyone Else Out of Their Pre-Order?
Yeah, that all goes along with the "you should have placed an advance order on it!"-policy that I've seen a lot of people use in stores. Some people are just concerned on the "here and now"-principle, as technically they can't be 100% sure you'll come around to collect and pay fo...

Re: Special Edition vs regular ol' Edition
if you are not one of us, you will regret to buy it LOL... yeah well... I contemplated it. But then I couldn't justify the almost cost of an additional army book for a fancy slipcover. If there had been more to it than that and a wrap around cover I could have been tempted. Like a Limited edition f...

Re: Special Edition vs regular ol' Edition
It's the collector bit that really gets people going. Some people just want to own this kind of limited edition stuff... I like the idea of having the Collectors' Editions of the rulebooks, but Army Books and Codexes? Goes a bit too far for me, even if I do feel like I fall partly into the collector...

Re: New War Hydra - Unboxed and built
Thanks for the pics, mate! Like Daeron said, that's a welcome pic. I'm not sure why but for some reason a lot of the releases lately have looked really goofy in the "official" pics. I had reservations of the model due to the pics in the WD, but these make the model look really good! Thanks...

I second Calisson's question on the info's point of origin.
However, if these are true then Warlocks would be quite a unit!

I mean WHOA!!!! Seriously mate, that is one sweeeeeeet display board! I'm really loving the Executioners, always had a soft spot for them. Re: Executioners and cold one model advice
A quick advice on the Executioner models: Pin the blades! Yes, they're quite thin, so the process will be a pain in the rear, but it's worth it. The blade is large enough to get bumped into and get stuck in sleeves and whatnot, that the small area for joining the two bits usually doesn't hold well e...

Re: New to Fantasy looking to convert a Manticore
Hey hey hey, I've seen a number of conversions on the Kroq-Gar model as a Manticore, and it works out quite well! Yes, the model is a bit slimmer and more athletic-looking than the new Manticore, which is more of the brawler look And no, I don't think anyone would have a problem with it, as long you...
