I use them for FoW, they are nice. you can get specific foam inserts. they may already have a DE one. otherwise you can make up custom ones. i found them usful and will no doubt use it more.

i would imagine they start testing once they are within range. however they don't suffer frenzy. so would follow their rule.

Makes a btl std awful important in a frenzy heavy army.

only seems to be a problem for general movement /deployment.
during a charge it doesn't matter. there is even a tidbit in the book suggesting moving units apart to maintain the 1". after the charge is complete. and then again there are so many other changes that this one seems a little minor.

The pool caps at 12. However it can be refilled during thephase. The Death mage bonus adds dice to the pool after wounds are caused.

had another check and TLOS includes arms, legs, head and th body. Not weapons, banners or tails.

i think it has acheived bringing infantry back into perspective, cavalry is now an impact unit and not the main line.

true line of sight is from models eyes to the torso of the target, second rank sees as the first for shooting. so weapons heads are not counted.

Been following a couple of the rumour threads. the new edition sounds, in a word, Brutal.

Yet some of the stuff you'd think they were trying to bring back into balance(pun not intended :P ) is just getting nastier. oh joy :/

i found it enjoyable. i was on the good side of an ag1 player doing some rather acrobatic type moves. saurus picked up the ball and dodged out. then went on to score. so it goes both ways. haven't had to many deaths. a couple of injuries

poison auto wounds on a roll of a natural 6 to hit. if a 7 or greater is required then roll to wound as normal as the poison has no effect.

it is in BRB under Poison in the special rules section iirc.

I think the game would have a more strategic element if pikes were added to stop cavalry charges. give them 3 ranks to fight in, +1 strength when charged in the first two ranks, wtvr.

iirc pikes already gain fight in 4 ranks and +1 s vs cav when rx'ing a charge.

poison works provided the to hit roll = 6. it still works at 6's to hit. @7's it is no longer benifits from poison. so a skink with bs3 starts at 4's. with moving and range = 6's. not worth firing multi shot as it would remove the auto wounds. if the modifier's would be less than 6 to hit then multi...

to me that makes no sense. 5 models with T3 no armour is just easy victory points. especially against an army with 20-30 skinks.

apart from that the report was good.
