Re: 4th Edition Dark Elves Army by GeOrc

Beautiful work as always! Just one question, do you ever clear coat your minis? If so, what do you use?

Re: A journey into Darkness

The images from the February 7th posts aren't showing up for me, is there another place they're posted? The rest of your work looks great, I'd like to see more.

Re: Avatars of War - "Witch Elves"

I received my 20 vestals and concubine today. I can't comment on the minis themselves as I haven't had a chance to get a close enough look at them yet. I had received the email announcing their shipment a little over two weeks ago. I won't mention how many witches this will put me up to including GW...

Re: [PLOG] Marauder Dark Elves

Chris is no longer with GW, he is currently running/sculpting Crocodile games. The pic is from an independent film titled Mongol, it was supposed to have been the first of a trilogy but I've never seen a follow up.

Re: on request, pics of new release

Considering the new releases prices, I'm very glad I have a good stock of the 6th edition models. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the executioners, black guard, or witches and I am still convinced that that entire range was the best GW ever made. Sure there were some deficits, the warriors fe...

Re: [PLOG] Old member, new work [updated 17/07]

There you go again....new DE minis are about to be released getting me all excited to continue my Druchii horde and you distract me with Napoleonics once again. You can paint after kids, you just have to watch out for when the eyes start going away.

Re: on request, pics of new release

I've also read most all of the rumors, especially Warhammer 40K's pic descriptions and I don't recall seeing any mention of either harpies or shades for that matter. I like the looks of the spearmen, even though there isn't much difference in pose and they're obviously not as animated as some of the...

I always liked the coloring of the Vistula legion, different times and nationalities of that period provide so many choices.

Re: Old member, new work [updated 23/04]

I think it's probably out of print by now, you could try talking to Noble Knight Games, they come across a lot of older hard to find stuff. Or just go to the flea market at any wargames convention, you could probably pick it up reaonably.

Re: Old member, new work [updated 23/04]

Thinking about your comment about Ney at Quatre Bras, a friend of mine and I spent many nights playing through the old SPI boardgame "Ney vs Wellington". It always turned out that if the French had been more aggressive in the morning and forced the Allies hand that the battle turned out in...

Re: Old member, new work

Nice job on the heavies, don't forget the regimental number on the side of the portmanteau! Have you given any thought to using more than one trumpeter model placed center of mass to mimic the original real formation?

Re: Old member, new work

So the man to figure ratio is 30:1 for the infantry, generally there are two companies per squadron and maybe four sqadrons per regiment of cav. does that equate to 16 models per regiment of cav? Perry's are very nice, I'm a little disappointed that their Napoleonics range is all late period. Becaus...

Re: Old member, new work

Great to see someone on here painting Napoleonics. What sort of battalion size and basing convention have you settled on? Whose figures are they? I've become very fond of the Front Rank ranges, would be berrer if I lived in the UK for shipping costs though.
