The more I think about it, the more I might keep key bits and pieces! Aaaaargh!
Regardless, I'll still be hanging around the forum to drool over other people's work

Re: Selling a whole army, including unique conversions +PIC
To be honest, I just no longer have the time, life is getting on top of me (and not in a bad way). As well as not having time to finish painting, I'm only getting in one night a week to game at the moment and even then that's sometimes not happening! If anything I'll be getting busier over the next ...

Selling a whole army, including unique conversions +PIC HVY+
It is with great sadness I'm selling the following: 6 possible hero models (one malekith conversion, one on cold one, one on griffon used as manticore) 4 sorceress models (conversions, one on steed wolf, one converted alarielle, one standard) 30 executioners (full command) 30 corsairs (with unit-fil...

Re: How to PAINT ?
This forum ruins my painting... so many great ideas for schemes and conversions that I'm constantly changing my mind. AT this time though, I only need to finish a few models (finishing touches on my Malekith, a magneted sorceress, and a frost phoenix) and I have a good, listed 4k Eternity King army....

WANTED: Hydra Crew Female Head +DESPERATE+ :D
Looking for the female head (I'll take as many as I can get) from the crew of the new Hydra/Kharibydiss kit.
Doesn't matter how old this post is, if you have one plz get in touch. I can pay, or have a HUGE number of bits I'd be delighted to swap.

Re: Wings on a Mortarch?
Balrog wings would be big enough, thye're considerably bigger than the standard ones, but it'd look funny because they've got skin on.
Think Zombie dragon wings are the way forward.

Re: Sorceress on Manticore - suggestions needed
How comfortable are you with converting? If you chop the straight leg off a Witch Elf and put a bent leg from another Witch on it (i.e. two bent legs) they make great "mounted" models. Give her a staff (i.e. use the standard bearer are) and you're there...

Re: Unleashed Wargaming... High Elves?
I guess I have to echo everything that's been said already; it's a great pallette, and a very cool-looking army. But Rowena and Scythe sort of highlight the criticism I'd make; take the Sea Guard - the shields are blended really nicely, but it doesn't look like any of the siler/turquoise/purple has ...

They're quite a bit smaller than WHFB steeds/mounts, so I'm not sure it'd work that well.

Re: Combined armies colour schemes?
I use the gryphon and a dark elf converted rider, and love it. I should say, as well, that brake fluid is carcinogenic, poisonous and in the uk it's illegal to dispose of it down a drain. There are a lot of better strippers (i.e. dettol, which strips amazingly but then you have to wash the models be...

I'm in the middle of one at the moment too, thread is here.
I'm putting him with the warpfire dragon too, but as I want to be able to field him on foot or with a chariot as a brutal looking dreadlord too, I'm just having him stand on the dragon's base rather than have him riding.

Re: Converted Malekith: version 2.0 +NEW PICS bottom of pg1+
I'm going to leave the blade at the front of the helmet on for a couple of reasons: one is that with the big tines out to the side it balances the helmet vertically as without it the model looks a bit squat and, to be honest, a bit wood-elfy. I did leave it off to begin with and it just didn't think...

Re: Converted Malekith: started painting him, comments plz!
So, on the basis of everyone's comments I've decided to redo the model. There are a few things I did with the model in Post #1 that I was disappointed with and which weren't great practice, such as: 1) The tines of the helmet being too thick, these are now a duplication of Malekith's helmet in the n...

Re: Converted Malekith: started painting him, comments plz!
Guys, your responses have been INCREDIBLY helpful. I think I realise myself that the helmet needs a bit of work and that might be what's making me double-think this. I'm going to keep this (possibly as Tullaris, that's a great shout) and work on a different Malekith this weekend Rowena the body is a...

Converted Malekith: version 2.0 +NEW PICS bottom of pg1+
I converted this a while ago but I am TERRIBLE for peaks and troughs in my work life, and that translates to the opposite in my ability to paint. I just can't decide about the model... sometimes I love it, sometimes I'm not sure. It's not based obviously, and it has highligting to do in various plac...
