When you are ceremoniously wedded by the hundreds to a single man, what are the chances he will see you, much less more then once? The reason for that little tradition is so that Malekith can keep tabs on magic users in Naggaroth. They're all wedded to him. They're not strangers. Given the paranoid...

Thanks for the feedback! I think Malekith is one of my favorite characters to write about. I've always pictured Druchii as total power junkies, so most of my portrayals of Malekith center around how he manipulates his subjects with absolute impunity; but to add insult to injury, he's bored while he ...

Homecoming

I was doing some spring-cleaning and noticed many of the links in the FAQ stickies don't function anymore, so I went ahead and tidied that up a bit. I also added a couple sources that I've been using for a while now that some users might find useful. However, I was a little upset when I saw that not...

But in the end I stand by my idea. Morathi is the true leader of the Druchii and Malekith is only her puppet.

That's part of why I enjoy reading your posts. I have pretty much the opposite interpretation. :)

He was the one who brought the fruit to Malekith.

As far as religion goes, he's such a powerful sorcerer that the warp entities would probably mean very little to him.

Just for the record, all elves used to speak Eltharin. After the Sundering, Malekith did design a new language that came to be known as Drukh-Eltharin. The language of the Asur eventually evolved to Tar-Eltharin. I've read somewhere that Druchii will speak Eltharin in high-class settings, can't quit...

Any source to back that up? since I have never ever found any estimation by GW and no elf in the timelines in Army Books ever lived over 1000 years except for through magical means. I came to that conclusion when I was sixteen and spent a few afternoons going over the high elf timelines, it was a P...

Average lifespan of an elf I would count in around 1000-1200 years old, with 1500 and more being an elder (80s in human years).

Add another thousand years to that estimate and you're right on the money.

The Grey Elves are the elves that decided to stay in the old world and try to get the Phoenix Crown back from the dawi. There are a few elven enclaves left in the old world that aren't entirely Asur, that's who they are.

The Sigmar god that the Empire worships is an entirely different being that took shape because enough souls s...

They don't serve any real purpose as far as we gamers are concerned. They are just different ways/outlets for dark elves to worship the God of Murder. For example: an elf who pays homage to the Dark Cloud of Khaine would be particularly pleased if storm clouds were to cover up the face of a full moo...

An easy solution to the manticore idea is to just have a beastmaster ride it. That way you can incorporate it into the fluff without worrying about it gamewise.

Nagash deserves to be in his own category in my opinion. There was a time when he was nigh invincible, but he keeps getting chopped to pieces :P . You cannot get rid of him though, not until Chaos eventually swallows up everything including itself.

I don't know what the big deal is. Just about every wizard managed this trick at some point during the heady days of 4th edition. It was called the 'Escape' magic card. Magic users can't just go throwing themselves in the warp willy nilly in this edition. It's actually a surprise that even the Witc...

Some people are taking the chimp argument out of context. Nope, and probably wouldn't ever happen. What would they have to gain? The Asrai are sitting on some serious raw magical energies that may/may not be valuable to the Druchii, but that's about it. The Asrai wouldn't even make good slaves. Considering the risk in getting there (you'd have to avoid the...

We have no idea how old they can actually live to.

Warhammer elves tend to live for about two thousand years. Beyond that they'd need some sort of magical assistance to keep going.
