I dunno, your opinions are fine. In the sense that Alith Anar was rather selfish and self-serving for the most part in his despair. But you gotta realize the guy every time he somehow got momentum started doing something great he was suddenly and violently cast down, with consequences forthcoming. H...

Dark Heresy Mini ideas!
My roommate is throwing a Dark Heresy campaign and we decided to randomly roll for everything, which is a fun idea. I happened to roll a cleric; with very nice beginning stats no less. I am wondering though where I could find some nice models for an Imperium Cleric, some stuff is close on the GW web...

There is no penalty to declining a challenge with a champion. He can stay right there and fight. Where is this referenced in the BRB if you don't mind my asking? Cause I like it and would like to be able to tell me friends where it is. Also, making executioners strike at initiative order is immense...

Correct me if I'm wrong but her Bestiary entry (p66) say's that she may join a Cauldron of Blood - has this changed in 8th with the addition that characters may not join warmachines? If not, she'd gain a 4+ ward and mean only 6 enemies max (or 2 cav) would get to attack her - meaning she could take...

Yeah, but for 350 points she is amazing. To be fair my dread lords tend to run higher than that AND she's str 10, AND you get witch elves as core, stick her in a unit and try and move her around get a flank or something. Whereas Malekith is not feasible purely on the fact that he is 600 points just ...

The fact that she's rocking 6 weapon skill 7 strength 10 attacks plus an additional d3 is pretty awesome. Honestly I'd say she's near the top if not already there. The only thing that bothers me about our special characters is none of them have very good saves. Her's specifically are only for spells...

use witches, you get 6-8 from the death hag, 4 from the hag which will be S-5 and AP from the banner, and then the rest of the girls add another 22 S-3 poison attacks. KB from the Cob makes for a very sad chaos warrior unit. True, I will concede that obviously this is far more efficient. However, I...

Well perhaps it has not gone so well for you, good sir. But it has proven a useful tactic for me. I average about six attacks and more often than not I've gotten a six. If not, strength four isn't so bad. Not any worse than anything else we have in our army. More importantly he's only there to kill ...

The chariot master is the cool guy. He has a car! Said so, I would only advise not to take him in a competitive gaming environment. However, I'll use a chariot Master/Highborn as general - the Overlord of my troops. Because In 8th ed. Character mounts don't do too much difference. Because he's the ...

The nice thing about the PoK on a sorceress is the ability to risk a miscast without having to worry so much about wounds on her. Mind you there is inherent risk on calamitous detonation but for the most part she can shrug off the high strength wounds. There is obvious risk versus reward here, but i...

I like Meteor's assassin idea. Personally I like taking assassins versus WoC. They have to issue challenges in every combat so I usually build an assassin with: Rune of Khaine Dark Venom Touch of Death If nothing else you have a decent enough chance in the first round of combat to get a killing blow...

I dunno, might be useful if you throw it on someone on a mount. I suppose it could be a sorceress but so many other things could go wrong these days with magic I don't care for spending too many points on them. Also I tend to like Dread Lords more just for pure flavor. Throw him on a mount though an...

Big fan of Doom and Darkness, had it go off on the enemy general and killed a unit flat out causing panic tests. Yum. General fled off the board with the unit that fled through them. Preeetty sweet. Fate of Bjuna with even one wound can be useful vs other caster's cause if they live they are subject...

Shield ward save!
Consider the rules for shields. Spear men can be upgraded with shields for a point a piece. This grants them an additional point toward their armor save. Moreover, shields also in this fancy edition grant a 6+ ward save in close combat. However, my friend was telling me over lunch that you may only ...

Multiple wound weapons!
Consider the rules for multiple wounds. Now the Executioner's Axe for 80 points is toughness x 2 d3 wounds. If you are in a combat and are fighting some basic troops for example and you deal five wounds, do you then reroll these wounds and wound say 11 models or do you instead just wound the five?
