Re: Tits or no tits ?

Nothing like a poll about tits to start a lively conversation! Writing as a person who has spent a great many hours crafting tits on dark elves and probably has the dark elf army with the most tits of any dark elf army on the planet.....I say no bare breasts on warriors. Sorceress: perhaps (no comba...

Re: DRUCHII.NET SECRET SANTA

Mr Khaine: Zorah was fun to make and I'm glad that you like how she turned out. I tried to fake you out a little bit by using the same box that your countryman (the artist formerly known as Devils Reject, I believe) used to send my figure to me. It was a semi officlal New Zealand mailer box. It was ...

Re: DRUCHII.NET SECRET SANTA

OK I have received my figure....and a fair amount of chocolate as well! What could be better than Warhammer figures AND treats? I will post some photos shortly. In brief, my SS has made use of one of my favorite dark elves, the "come hither" Chris Fitz witch elf. It both looks great and it...

Re: [PLOG] Veysha Everkiss and the Clan of the Shadow Fox

Ah yes, one of my all time favorite GW figures...the girl beastmaster.

So many possibilities with that excellent figure as the arms are very poseable, and the waist is unencumbered with superfluous bits. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.....

Re: DRUCHII.NET SECRET SANTA

OK so Zorah is packed up and on her way to parts unknown.....

Meanwhile, are we supposed to reveal when we receive our surprise package and who our mystery artist was?

This has been fun as expected thus far and I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone did!

Re: Plea for greenstuff advice

I would suggest using a piece of brass wire (around 1mmish diameter). Drill your holes very carefully so the wire ends up where the spine should be. You can then adjust the length of the wire to what looks right and glue it in place. Once the glue is set, you can adjust the positioning of the torso ...

Re: DRUCHII.NET SECRET SANTA

Hi Lion, as a Xmas present to us all...tell us how you get that skin tone! I used Reaper Pale Flesh. Their colors come in three tones, base tone, shade and highlight. I used layers of each wiht GW flesh wash in between..principally after the first color. Other than the skin tone, I have stuck fairl...

Re: DRUCHII.NET SECRET SANTA

OK so here's what I'm up to with my S Santa project...new for me (at least when it comes to Dark Elves) a pale skin tone that's more "natural" and matches what my recipient has done with their army. Perhaps thats a hint as to who I have As always with my girls, I try to mke them beautiful,...

Re: DRUCHII.NET SECRET SANTA

Ah yes, it makes sense now. One of the projects that I have had in the back of my mind for years was to make a turn counter that was essentially a dark elf "Round Card Girl" like in boxing that is holding up some flippable numbers for the turns. Meanwhile, here is my (small) progress on Zo...

Re: Advice on parts for converting warlocks

I'd suggest daemonette torsoes on the dark rider legs and steeds. Not an overly complex conversion and gives a very distinctive look. Personally, I've never liked the overly mutated look of the daemonette claws, so I took the extra step of using witch elf arms so that the girls would have 2 arms and...

Re: PLOG! A first for me.

I hope I haven't come too late in with this one though. Have you thought of changing the position of your latest work? When I saw the first WIP my automatic thought was that the great sword would be before the strike, following the general flow of the model. However I love what you've done, modelin...

Re: Plog The Disgraced House of Naggarond - The Midnight Bla

I dig your style so much. You manage to work a tremendous amount of implied movement into your stuff and this latest effort is no exception. The subtle turn of the head on the forward facing knight is so perfect.

Superb.

Re: PLOG! A first for me.

Hmm interesting, seems like your giant has a different head than mine. Looking very much forward to when its finished Mine is the older one, which accounts for my confusion on your thread about the base size. When FW remade the big dude, they altered his stance to fit on a standard giant base. I ha...

Thanks! Glad you like them You`re right Lion, next thing I do is to mount the Bonecrusher on a proper base. Is just strange that he was delivered with that small one as he is so top heavy that he falls over VERY easily. Gonna think of something, maybe I come up with an idea to include on that large...

Not sure how I missed this... insane skills on the blood bowl pitch-side advertisments. That "WIP green stuff" image of the mounted lord kind of mesmerized me for a couple of minutes too. Just wow! That figure is extremely cool.. One thing bothers me though and that's the fact the artist ...

Yep, this army is really cool. The board looks great, the snow looks great. Further, I'll bet that this is one of those armies that looks even better the closer you get to it and photos have a hard time doing it justice.

Well Done!
