I like to field 2x5 with RXBs and musicians, combined with shades they quickly add pressure where I need it. I find them much more useful than just another regiment of warriors

Yup, no reason to use a dreadlord for hunting skirmishers, 3 units of shades could do the same job and more, while providing better general support to an army.

I usually base my models, and paint base and models together.

And I wouldn't dream of priming my models by brush, touch up on sloppy priming perhaps, but doing 100+ models by hand is just a waste of time that could be spent painting/modelling.
