Beautiful as always....
Always glad to see your latest Scott, would really like to have a chance to pick your brain about the finer points of cutting and filing in your conversions. If you have the time one of these days, and we can coordinate a date/time convenient to all, I would like to have a chance to chat.

I think that the position of the draich and arms appears to suggest movement, either he just finished a swing or is preparing to charge. At least that what it looks like to me from the pics. Implied movement is always good and keeps the figure from appearing too static or posed, in that regard, I wo...

If it's possible, I think I like your BG conversions even better than I liked your daemonette/witch elf conversions....beautiful and inspiring work. I really like the dragon, the head and expression is very classic...along the lines of a brother's Grimm fairy tale dragon...looks great. Are you going...

I have three bicycles, an old peugeot commuter, a pinarello paris road bike, and an empella cross bike, none of which have seen as much of my attention as I would like since an old bastard in a pickup cut me off and sent me to the ER with a concussion and a 3rd degree AC separation in my shoulder. S...

Ebay is the best source for any older or oop minis. Every once in a great while you might come across old stock at a store that never sold, or maybe a local shop might sell older armies on consignment for gamers. The only other possibility I can imagine is buying older figures or an entire army from...

Nice job, very interesting presentation, understandable why you recieved best painted. I'm looking forward to seeing more, closer pics. My only real question is, considering the 3 dimensional aspects of your minis (more 3-D than generic spearmen, etc), how do you transport them ? After converting a ...

Just as previously stated, use a dremel tool with a round burr bit to remove the metal in frony, hollowing out the sea dragon cloak from the front. Don't chop off any limbs or anything else until the cloak is pretty close to the way you want it so that you have something to hold onto while you're gr...

Campaigns can be a lot of fun, but sometimes can require more time and effort than everyone is capable of at any given time. Unless everyone is able to commit to a regular schedule of actual game time, don't start one. If you want to get a really good perspective of how a campaign can flavor your re...

Looks like Georc has taken a page out of Soryama's art book, the armor is beautiful, especially the cuirass and shield. I'm not a fan of the face however...the skin color, the eyes, and the lips all leave me wanting, looks a little clown like, but I'm also quite sure that look is what you were aimin...

There are many painting services around, most have scales that charge a set fee for infantry, that is then not quite doubled for cavalry, war machines and chariots are a little more expensive again, depending on complexity. Most services also have a defined scale for quality of work, ie. basic table...

Simple Green, place minis in a small gladware container, fill container with enough simple green to cover, cover and let sit for a couple of days, take each one out and scrub with a tootbrush, and rinse under warm water. You may want to also let them soak briefly in a small tub of warm water with a ...

The base looks like a regular base with a coat of acrylic modeling medium. After the paste dries it comes out a flat white, usually opaque unless it's too thin. It is possible to add paint, pigment, inks, or washes to the modeling medium while wet and paint/spread it on with color, or accepts acryli...
