Re: Mustering of the host!

Excellent start Dreadboi! Personally, I think that dark blue would work better for the base sides. The blue would frame the model better and fit nicely in with your scheme. Have you used the LizardMen sounding colours for the shields? I notice you have AP inks on the desk. I'm thinking of grabbing s...

You didn't cheat because Hydas and RBTs are special (50% allowance) not Rare choices.

Re: Dragon Princess from the New Book!

I think you should swap the Cloak and Amulet around. The CoT is perfect for a character that needs protection while zipping about the board, useful too for that 1st round of CC too, where as the Amulet is more useful to your fighty Master. Adjust their other equipment accordingly.

Happy hunting.

Your list seems to be about the go to one flying about now. Will be interesting to see how you tweak it.

In play testing how did you get the Sisters to work? Figure as you've had a little longer to wrap your head around them you may have a better idea!

Re: on request, pics of new release

TBH I'd thought RH had dropped off the radar some time ago with regard to the DE KS. !conf!

Anyways, the new WE's as 'nettes, for those that might be inclined that way.

Cheers Kendoka.
Could you post a photo that shows the same torsos models side-by-side: to help gauge posing options, and what is the mini on the bottom right of the shot? Me likey.

I wonder if Big-K's Feast of Bones rule triggers if just its regular attacks all hit, but the additional hits 'gifted' from a BM don't? Expecting to hit with up to 8 attacks before FoB triggers is bonkers surely. :? Thoughts?

Remember the Vestals have very delicate wrists, and as such are not for the heavy handed! To be fair though I doubt the new plastics are going to stand up any better on the table top. Old Skool Witches FTW. Scroll down on this thread to see how well Wyches can be converted, just imagine them in red ...

Re: New DE armybook RULES RUMOURS

It is what I did indeed. In some cases, I did correct the spelling / grammar. Not an English native speaker myself, and not having unlimited time, I had to compromise. No worries. I really appreciate your heroic efforts. I just get confused reading about future events in the definite past tense. Pl...

Re: New DE armybook RULES RUMOURS

@Calisson; Thanks for the summary. However, could you please sort the grammar out in the text please. There's 'didn't' written numerous times when correctly it should be have or haven't. We're discussing present and future, and certainly not past events. Also, Eternal Hatred is for all enemies, and ...

Re: Good alternate Witch Elves?

I think currently the best option is Dark Eldar Wyches. You basically get 2 for 1 price wise. However, the Wyche box contents 6 female torsos and 4 male; netting you 12 female and 8 males in total. So, you'll get an extra 2 Witches and 8 males (good for shades, characters, assassins etc.) over buyin...

@Rowena; Thank you. I saw this and thought it would be a good example of how you could push your model onto the next level. Sometimes having an example to follow helps more than just words. You put a good entry in with a very tricky subject. :!:

Re: on request, pics of new release

Over all this is a swing and roundabouts release for me. Up with the Avatar, down with the very, very limited posing of the WE/ Sisters' box, and round we go to the much improved though not breath taking warriors. Beyond the loan day pay day shark interest payment on the WE/ Sisters box the super li...

Re: DRUCHII.NET RAGING HEROES PAINTING COMPETITION - Novice

Wow! This was a tricky one to call because of all the outstanding work that went into the entries. A couple of the entries could easily have been in the master's category. Highlights for me included the genius markers by Rowena, the great freehand shown by many, a plucky entry by the Cub ( ), and co...

First off congrats to Lion and a very big thank you to those that voted for my entry. CultOfKhaine; I think you should have kept the original pose, but I liked the neat little touches such as the eye make up etc. Plantagenet; very solid entry though be careful about how much definition you add to pl...

OK, I've cast my vote. The winner for me has shown excellent technical ability and stood out from the rest. I'm having my Sunday morning coffee so don't want to write too much. However, I will return at the end of the week with feedback, if entrants want it (!), and thoughts on my own entry. Till th...

OK, got my entry in. Seems PB is not co-operating and putting up my uncropped photo, but I've left it there in the hope I can sort it soon. I'll vote in a day or so once everybody has got their entry in. After that I'll be off-line deliberately till next Saturday. I want to keep the big release a su...

Re: New DE armybook rumours summary

Any rule comments are literally land of fantasy till such time as people have had their early WD come through. I'd guesstimate the euro prices to look something like this: Clamp pack character Captain Planet Terror ( ) 15€+ Cauldron / Medusa 49€+ Warriors 35€+ Dark Riders / Warlocks 26€+ Exes / Blac...

I think, barring any last minute touches, that my entry is finished. Fingers crossed that it won't be overcast tomorrow, and that my cheapy camera behaves for the pictures. Re: COMPETITION CHAT THREAD

@Rowena: I can see a touch up you need to do on the calf, take the blue up to an ice blue, and white on the crystal. Your style is quite muted so you may not not want to go more extreme, but hopefully you can move a little out of your comfort zone. The biggest area that I think needs addressing is g...

Re: Need help with painting!

Lots of good advice, but everyone seems to have jumped the gun! The best paint jobs start with good prep work, and for that you need the right tools. Thankfully you'll probably only have to buy them once, blades excluded. You must have clippers for removing parts from the sprue, a craft knife for cl...

Re: COMPETITION CHAT THREAD

She's coming along nicely. I'd work some gold in to contrast with the blue. Some purple lippy as a spot colour would be cool. Once you've painted the straps the legs will look much more defined. Perhaps a cheeky ankle tattoo? In other news. I've changed my entry though I haven't swapped the 1st pict...
