The BRB says that all dispel dice are pooled and may be used by any wizard or even without a wizard, so Rork's logic wouldn't have that affect, fortunately, masterofdarkness. p106 - "Differently from power dice, all dispel dice are collected into the dispel pool and can freely be used by any of...

Probably not. I'm waiting till Saturday to get my new book, so I don't know if they changed the wording, but based on the examples they give in the old, "... war machines, magic items, and other attacks that cause multiple wounds only ever cause one wound at a time," I'd go with the side t...

The wording does seem that way, Rork. How do you think it's handled for the HE using MR only, out of curiousity? I know their wording is something closer to "+1 to dispel attempts while a wizard is on the table," or something, so a little different, just curious of your thoughts.

Do you think it'd be possible to have a bridle on a lion? I think whoever's riding this thing would look like a real bad ass if they could use just some leather straps and their feet to control a manticore. Of course you could say even more so with nothing, but that seems unrealistic to me. And putt...

Fur's fine, but the beard.. IMO the bear should go. It's distinctly HE and looks very silly even for those sissies, IMO. But! If you like the model with the beard, then I won't complain, and you should keep it On a side note, I did not know that calling someone a [small purple, white, or yellow flow...

But you lose frenzy when beaten in combat, you don't have to fail your lead test and flee, then, you could hold. So they "lose frenzy" and the banner gives frenzy. I'm guessing they lose it, but it is a new situation, at least to my knowledge, that therefore should be clarified just in case.

And isn't there a Skaven spell or bell effect which gives frenzy to a unit? That might be a semantics issue. Actually for the banner as well. The question is that when you "lose frenzy" do you count as having the frenzy rule but not effects or are you just normal. If you truly lose frenzy,...

BRB p4 "All characteristics are normally rated on a scale of 0 to 10." This sounds to me, due to " normally rated" like it does not in fact cap things at 10. Is there another reference I'm not aware of that states that they are truly limited to 10? I'm with Dalamar - sounds to me...

yeah thats one way to use him. Plus if he is in combat challenge his rank bonus attacks does not apply as he is fighting 1 on 1 so he is only fighting an enemy with no ranks, if that makes sense. So its better to move him away from a powerful challenger before challenges are issued and let the cors...

Thanks :)

You guys make me laugh sometimes, you seem to look at things in a single context. Almost as if there is nothing else in the army other than that single figure or unit which happens to be under discussion. I am referring to the comments about Malus. If you are going to use him then your list will ne...

Malus is very vulnerable to magic. Unless you put him in a unit of ~10COK's it's too easy for shooting to reduce the unit to <5 RnF models, then a good cast from the LoM will roast the whole unit, Malus included, or another war machine shot. I feel like he's about equivalent to last time. Awesome hi...

I was wondering this about the RoH, because if you had 3 units next to each other in a tight battle line, you could measure and prove that the outer two champs/heros were within 12" of each other's units, covering the middle one, and from a fluff perspective a sorc may not know the source of hi...

I should say that I am a big fan of our new list including the chariots, was just wondering. It was not about the grass and it's relative color, I promise. Rork, I know about the statline increase, I effectively mentioned it by not including it in differences b/w ours and theirs. It's great! You for...

So the premise is the sorceress can project herself out of combat or when a FF is used she is not part of combat?! Does that also mean that I can put a sorceress in the last rank of a unit to hide and no longer need to have her on the front rank? Off the top of my head, the reason that a Wizard can...

Doesn't Necromunda have lots of pinning from shooting? That doesn't exist in Mordheim (and frankly to me the rules sounded absurd in Necromunda - once someone was knocked down they basically aren't moving far from that spot).

I think the wording is something like "... can use this point to determine range, LOS, and whether or not she counts as in combat when casting spells until the end of the turn."

i.e. no

Chariot comparison

So I'm reading the mortal chaos list for the first time carefully and I realized that our new chariots are almost identical to theirs. I don't know how much they used to differ (I believe more) but I'm surprised at the diffs now, and I would like the playtesters' (and others') thoughts. Differences ...

There can only be one explanation to this. Somewhere, somehow, one of the playtesters figured out the mother of all nasty combos. This mythic combo guarantees the dark elf player the win and hinges on the web of shadows costing less than 50 pts. In an effort to preserve the balance and playability ...
