with the night goblins the biggest problem is hidden fanatics, nothing will ruin your day worse than 3d6 str5 ap hits. If you start sending too expensive of a unit after the night goblins he will probably start hiding fanatics in the units

ard boyz is all about using your hardest lists.

monsterous infantry get up to 3 supporting attacks from the secound and in a horde the third ranks

Also haveing harpies or dark riders close to your main fighting blocks makes it hard for the enemy to flee from them. COK charge if enemy flees harpies within 22 inches of there new position can mqke them flee again, if still within 22 inches of another unit of dark riders or harpies can be charged ...

both brain farting 4 are allowed at 3000pts as it's a grand army

with many armies now playing large deep units to form steadfast tarpits I have started taking a unit of 50 spears in all games over 2000pts. Used with cok or any other hard hitting unit in combo charges it breaks most steadfast units

I listened to everyone's advice and added a third hydra to my ard boyz list for the finals and I ended up losing to much flexibility and made the list worse. I would stick to 2 hydra's at 3000 pts. but that's a personal choice.

The hydra only needs to do one wound with his breathe weapon to take away the hpa's regen making the 7 strenth 5 attacks with hatred not saveable. one of the most common list's at ard boyz was skaven using units of 50 slaves to mantain steadfast and tie up units. You may want to increase the size of the spear unit to offset ranks and break steadfast unit's with combo charges.

most usefull might be the shadow spell that lowers their toughness, cast first a lot of people let it slide by saving their DD for your offensive spells but lowering their T bu d3 is better than lowering their S as corsairs will mow through t1-3 ogres pretty easily
