I would think, though i have no real idea, that it would make sense to use different coloured dice for the magic resistance, and have it only work for that unit. But I honestly haven't any idea, perhaps somebody else could clear this up?

I dont have book, but I also think no - the unit isnt targetted. However Sajon's suggestion is a good one; the unit with MR gets to add the die to the dispell roll and ignores the reult if it is higher than

You use the magic resistance of the unit with the best MR value in the range of the spell.

Ant is right, if a source of MR would be affected by the spell then you can use that MR

then dispel dices together with MR dices, if they dispel this spell. does that just affect that unit or the whole spell?

just remember you don't get to add up all the DD of MR units then add DD from your pool.. You pick the take DD MR unit then pull DD from your pool to dispel the whole spell.

Determine who if any, are affected by the spell. If any of those units have MR, then take the highest MR and apply it against the spell if you choose.
