A game, of sorts.

I'm curious if this will work, but it could be interesting if it does.

While I have a lot of success with my usual list I fancy a break and I'd like you guys to help me create the list but with a bit of a twist.

Each person can add one unit to the list, either a unit that's done well for you or one that you'd never in a million years field yourself.

When there's a (legal) 2000 points, I'll take it and field it in my next game in my campaign. This could mean I'm fighting Daemons, Orcs and Goblins, Wood Elves, VC or WoC.

I reserve the right to veto any unit that takes up too many points/I'd struggle to field due to size (e.g 100 Spears) and afterwards I'll write up a brief report.

At the start of your post, paste the below template with your unit added.

I'll get it started with a unit I never leave home without.

Hmm, I actually like this idea.
And I'll remove Creedence's entry as it's illegal. You can't have two magic weapons (it's also over 50 points in magic items)

Creedence entry is not illegal. dagger and armour is 40pts. The scourge is a mundane item.

I'd kick the master of his horse and give him a cold one and a ring of darkness, to go with the knights, but that's just me.

Or else just throw in a master with HA, SDC, Shield, Lance, on cold one, with ring of darkness (154 pts)

Ok, so this would be the final list bar 19pts. Anyone have any suggestions on what to spend them on? I can afford to go 50 or so points over as I have a bit of gold to spare if need be as the campaign stands.

Who do you think I should challenge? O&G, Chaos, Daemons, VC or WE?

What do you think of the list? It has less shooting than I'd usually use, curious to see how the 10 DR do.

If anybody could check the legality and points I'd appreciate it, I've left my book at the Campaign hosts!

Right now you have 5 heroes (master on manticore takes 2 slots)

Lance with Crimson Death is pointless. You can't use mundane weapons if you have magical ones (except for Dagger of Hotek)

You could solve the too many heroes issue by dropping crimson death from the master (25 points) and dropping one of my dark riders, making the unit 9 rather than ten (sniff: 17 points). Added to the 19 points you have remaining, thats 61: enough points to upgrade the master on a manticore into a dreadlord (manticore doesn't count as an extra hero slot for the dreadlord, and you don't have any other lords so it would work).

Ah ha, thought the Manticore rule must have been old edition as the guy who has my book said he couldn't see it. Upgrading to a Lord works for me so the Army looks like this then (I hadn't added the lance cost into the Manticore rider so I'm taking 3 gold from my gold stash for that):
