Revamping my Darkies

Post by Bounce »

I don't have the new book yet but have so many ideas running in my head I feel the need to write them down. :)

Am currently thinking of trying out a list along the lines of the following

Dreadlord on Dragon- SDC, shield, lance, Armour of Destiny
Master on Dark Pegasus- Mundane stuff, Cloak of Twilight
14 Witch Elves FC
14 Witch Elves
10 Dark Riders- Crossbows, Shields, Muso
10 Corsairs- handbows, muso
10 Darkshards

14 Executioners- FC
4 RBT
7 Shades- Great Weapons
Cold one Chariot- if I have points

5 Warlocks
5 Warlocks

Will be fast and shooty with some nice heavy hitting elites in the centre. With the two units of warlocks I think I can forgo Sorceresses. These guys could be really nasty dropping enemy units toughness by two then hitting them with the bolt throwers, shades, crossbows, corsairs and dark riders. The witches and executioners aren't too tough but they also aren't that expensive so if they fluff things all is not lost.
Also has a nice Khainite theme
"I will embrace death without regret as I embrace life without fear"

-You'll want bigger units of execs and witch elves, like 28-35. They are just too easy to kill.
-If you have 4 RBT you won't need Darkshards
-I would play the Dark Riders x5 to get more redirection
-You're not thinking about any magic?
