Mobile Shooty army 2500pts
Ok, as im starting again to get my self immersed in the game again after so many years, the first thing i need to do is obviously build my army in paper before starting to get models; so at least i know what to get first to start playing.
And so this is my first try at something that might look like a working army. The idea is to have mobile units to eliminate enemy chaff, mages or warmachines fast, then charge with the heavy hitters. All of this while buffing/debuffing with mages.
The list comes as follows.
Lords:
Dread Lord (CoK unit)
Cold one, SDC and shield.
Chill Blade and Armor od Destiny

Supreme Sorceress Lvl 4 (Goes alone)
Dark Pegasus.
Cloak of Twilight, Talisman of Preservation.

Heroes:
BSB master (CoK unit)
Cold one, Full mundane and lance.
Trickster's Helm
175pts
Sorceress Lvl 2
Ruby ring of ruin and dispel scroll
165pts
Core:
3*5x Dark riders: Xbows, shields and muso
19x Darkshards: Shield and muso
Special:
8x CoK Full comand+Razor Standard
3x RBT
5x Shades: Aditional hand weapons and muso
1x War Hydra with Fiery breath
Rare:
5x Warlocks
This totals: 2498pts
The main idea is to soften everything with Spellcasters and shooting, then charging with CoKs or Hydra, even maybe with Warlocks if posible, or a combo charge.
How good/bad is this?
If bad. How can it be good/better?

The basic principle is good.
Except shades cannot have muso.

The list looks okay, Calisson has already mentioned the issue on the Shades.
Personally I like the option to split fire so I may have looked at two units of shards rather than a bigger one. Smaller foot prints and move manoeuvrable but still the same output, you could probably drop the shields on them too, as if you are aiming for a fast army to outmanoeuvre your opponent you have pretty much failed if they hit your back line and shard units.
There are a number of threads here on Dark riders and xbows. Some are in favour, some not. You lose a lot of accuracy whilst running them as chaff bait and flee units, so any shots give little return to the cost.
Can however be useful at times though when you need to ping the occasional wound off of something. Possibly think about a couple of units without and one with. This will gain you a few more points back and makes sacrificing them a little easier as they cost less.

Oh.... That might be an error in Battlescribe then... Will take out the musician off the Shades.
I forgot to mention that the Sorceress lvl2 will go in the Darkshards unit, that is why it has 19 models.
I will drop the shield on the darkshards and see what can i get in return. Open to suggestions. xD

Even with the Sorceress in them, personally I would still split. But that is just me.
If it looks as if they will get charged, she can just leave the unit.

I actually did some changes to my roster as you suggested.
Changes are:
Lords: Remain the same.
Heroes: No changes
Core:
3*5x Dark riders: Xbows, shields and muso
15x Darkshards: Muso (took shield out) Sorceress goes here
10x Darkshards: Muso
Special:
8x CoK Same as before
2x RBT (took one out)
5x Shades: Aditional hand weapons.

A charge of my CoK unit while buffed with Mindrazor should be enough to wipe a softened unit or make it runto their moms

Unfortunately i just started to buy the stuff for my army, so i first need to assemble, paint and then play the army xD
That is why i wanted to get a list done, so i can see what would i need and give it priority, so i can start playing as soon as posible.

Oh, that will be the best part xD
I also plan on doing a more infantry based army, just to have something different to play and not get bored easily.
