Hmmm, interesting. Looks like they are looking at Forgeworld's nurgle ogres and mainstreaming them.

Rhinox hide spray is kind of neat too, FWIW.

And some stats to go with them...
Looks like 40x40mm bases and they have 3 wounds but only the infantry rule so no stomp attacks here. They are, however, T5 with a 3+ armour save and potential 6+ parry, or 4 attacks, or str6.

Re: Blurry pictures of the chaos End times release
Interessting to see that the Blightknights are not monstrous infantry. That means only one supporting attack instead of all 3. Do you think its a mistake and they should be monstrous? They look like they are and their base size should be 40 mm, comparing to the kavallary next to them.

Far better pictures. Looking like a good release.
Undead didn't really do it for me, but I might have some use for Chaos.

Those stats and rules look pretty brutal, but if they aren't MI then execs are a pretty good counter to them.
And Gutrot looks good, up to 8 WS8, S7 attacks is nothing to be sniffed at. All for 250pts.

Nice find reject. I like the you can use them in all 3 chaos armies. I always thought it a shame they separated them anyway

Re: Blurry pictures of the chaos End times release
The Blightking stats do read kind of brutally for the points cost - three Blightkings vs four Coldone Knights seems like a pretty one sided contest.

It must be an oversight that they aren't monstrous infantry, being able to killing blow them just seems well . . wrong

Re: Blurry pictures of the chaos End times release
Whilst being pretty bulky, they don't look any bigger than regular infantry. Certainly not Ogre-size.
For that reason, I don't think its a typo at all. Besides, 40points would be criminally undercosted if it was.
What I am concerned about is whether there'll be arule change to allow full supporting attacks. Great for Saurus Warriors with Spears, terrible for Witch Elves :/

It also wouldn't be the first time that the WD rules are not complete compared to the actual book entries.

To me they definitly look like being Ogre-sized. Just compare them to the cavalry right next to them and you see they've got a 40 mm base. I would not be the first time they make undercosted units to increase sales.
Comparing them to Ogre Ironguts:
Blightkings
M WS BS S T W I A Ld
4 6 3 4 5 3 5 3 8
Ironguts
M WS BS S T W I A Ld
6 3 2 4 4 3 2 3 8
Besides movement their stateline is the same or better. That's at least something I guess!
So lets compare equipment and special rules:
Blightkings:
Chaos armor and either 2 hand weapons, great weapon or handweapon + shield (chose each combat!), Mark of Nurgle (-1 to hit)
Ironguts:
Heavy armor and great weapon, Fear, Ogre Charge (1 impact hit, d3 impact hits if rolling 10+ for charge)
They have better armor, better weapon options and are harder to deal with in close combat, but do not get any impact hits. The do not cause fear, but Mark of Nurgle has a very similar, but more consistent effect. Without doing any math it is pretty obvious to me that they should rather be more expensive than 3 points cheaper.
But I guess the Kings are a special choice while Ironguts are core

Why would this be so bad for Witch Elves? You would get 3 attacks instead of 1 from the second rank. I would make them even better! And a horde gets ridiculous..
Re: Blurry pictures of the chaos End times release
Exactly, they are already great and don't need the buff.
Re: Blurry pictures of the chaos End times release
To be fair, they'd be incredibly undercosted if they were Monstrous Infantry. As Infantry, they would be a rather viable choice to all of the Chaos armies, although I can't see many Warriors players using them, and Daemons players would likely use them for Mundane attacks (BotWD). Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if GW made a unit overpowered just to increase sales.

Its a fallacy. For every OP new unit like Skullcrushers, there's a Vortex Beast, or Sisters of Slaughter, or the entire Lizardmen release.

I agree for the most part. Still, don't tell that to Lord Tremendous, or anyone in my gaming group who's taken on a unit of Sisters thinking they're a pushover.
Personally, I'm utterly terrified by the prospect of Blightkings garrisoning a Watchtower...

Its more to point out that the power of new units, or even new kits for existing units, is all over the scale: you've got your Skullcrushers (shiz hot), Sisters (Okay but not amazing), and Slaughterbrutes (terrible). Its not even consistent between releases: Dark Elves got a pretty good deal with good stuff, some okay stuff, and only a couple of stinkers (Fleetmaster), the WoC release was a mixed bag of wtfawesomesauce and a bunch of stuff that nobody ever sees on the table, and the Lizardmen release had a couple of stuff that is okay at best, but largely bordering on complete garbage. The idea that GW produce new kits that are deliberately tailored to be very good on the tabletop, and therefore sell more, is confirmation bias that hasn't been true since at least the start of 8th (Tomb Kings, anyone?). Its also one that really grinds my gears (probably because I have a axe to grind after that aforementioned Lizardmen release )

Nurgle, Nurgle and more Nurgle. Hopefully the other gods will get a look in too.
