New pics of my WIP Khorne army

Well, I had a year long hiatus from this game, and decided to get back to it because painting is the best part about it (converting also.) So Im getting back to my Khorne army, and I've got a lot of ideas im going to implement into it.

The theme behind it is that it is an army from hell, not Khorne worshippers, devil worshippers. The leader of this army is satans #2 guy, which I've barely started work on. There are normal humans (marauders), who fight to aspire to the ranks of warriors, so that the harsh punishments of hell are less severe to them. There are souls everywhere, which just go wherever the commanders tell them to, and then there are just demons.

To start with, my first finished model, a marauder:

All models in the army will be on skull bases, with their individual trays sculpted according to their places on the display base:

When the marauders achive rank and favor, they get armor, and eventually, when their skills and armor build up, they can join a warrior unit. This is my first warrior thats almost done, all that he needs is base, gloves, skull, and a redone drum canvas:

If the warriors become good enough, the get put into chosen units of the most elite. The general of the army usually is in this unit, as they are his best soldiers. This guy needs the whole shebang before he's done.

The champion of said unit is essentially the most powerful foot soldier on the ground. This one still needs horns, a shield, base, and axe finishings:

There are also many various lieutenants in the army. This guy will probably be going on a chariot, I've yet to think it out:

And this guy, well, I think i'll make him some sort of demon character, really haven't thought it out, just made him for the hell of it.

I might make this guy into my general, but dont want to spend too many points, also, working on his skeletal dragon mount. Probably will just have this guy for show and tell purposes, lol.

And finally, my hellcannon, this baby will be the centre piece of my army. Its made from a defiler and a hellcannon put together, and about 3oz. of putty all in all for everything to fit.

That army makes me want to do bad things...it is evil....pure evil.....

I love the scuplted bases, that must have taken a while.

And that beast of thing is just cool...and evil...

Nice, nice, very nice!

Lots of work if you plan making an entre army of these guys though..

Also, I'd watch out with this army in tournaments and painting competitions, to avoid insulting/angering strongly religious people..

Still, great models, especially the general!

lol, lemme show you the original idea behind this force. I was just browsing a bead store in Greece when I came across this cross bead, and I thought that it would look sweet on a warhammer mini. This piece goes on the top of my hellcannon, and it used to be worse, it used to have a crucifix on it, until I started getting these people that wanted to smash my hellcannon, so I took it off, lol.

Realize, if someone breaks anything in my army for religious reasons, im gonna really consider kicking their ass lol, since I've spent so much time on this so far.

I really like your bases. And some of your characters are cool too. Although the rest of the army is a bit too satanic for my taste. However kudos for spending all the time on the conversions.

ps. I thought it was a rule that you were only allowed to post 3 pics in a thread, the rest should be in links. Or did I miss a rules update again.

Very nice conversions and fantastic bases. If i was you i would put some more shades on them but maybe thats just the camera. Good luck with the army!

THe basing is darn good. But is it too late to choose different colours? The red and yellow looks kind of...McDonalds-ish. But the basing is quite good!

Whoa!! The Hellcannon looks awsome mounted on Defiler Legs (I presume there defiler legs) For it doesn't take away the fantasy un modern look from it.

Looking good, I especially like the bases. I've been thinking about making a Nine Hells themed army myself but wow, that is just amazing.
