If somebody could tell me how this image posting thing works, this thread will suddenly get infinitely more interesting -> dividing by zero, always fun.

Thanks in advance, Layne.

Thanks MDK. Bless you and your chocolate coins.

OKAYeeeee!!!!

Arn Khraid, as a young Noble Reaver-Captain of Nagarythe. Has Halberd and Lifetaker.

Looks kinda High-Elvish, yes, but in this shot he essentially is a High Elf. I've tried to limit the pointiness of the Armour, so it would suit better his character as a rather reckless and arrogant cavalry commander. Might change one of these shots to better show the pose.

Next -

Arn Khraid, as a Druchii Highborn of Naggaroth, with SDC and Executioner's Axe.

Nice big nasty cleaver. Tried to pose him just as he begins the swing. Was going to try and sculpt some kind of ribbon on his axe to show the backswing, but it was all getting a bit complex. I'm thinking I should remove the sword as well.

Comments, suggestions always welcome.

i love the idea - i made something like that myself, although posting it now will look like a copy of this very nice conversion.

i actually would remove the sword, it looks too highelvish to me - but if it is a highborn you should instead add the handles of two swords - remember: that is the sign of a highborn, and the privilege of them. also what i would try to do is add some more spikes and stuff to the model (do you know what the cold one Malus has on the cover of the first book looks like - that is cool, if you ask me! )

HUZZAH!
When I think of something witty, I shall put it here.

Hello, I do not like the first one. He is too "Asur" for my taste.
The second one is very nice, even if I do not like to use the executioner's axe. Too expensive.
Nice idea to convert the Cold one, you could also add chains, hooks and skulls to the beast
I agree with Mr Anderson as the sword is also too big. Try to find a better sword, or sculpt your own.

I had considered making a bridle of chains or whatever, with HE heads hanging from it, but I didn't want to put anything in the Cold One's mouth, and wasn't sure what to connect the other end to, seeing as how he has both hands on the Axe. I am going to add some hooks, but they will go on rather later in the process.

That's a very well sculpted SDC. I wish I could sculpt like that...

Hang chains, trophies, everything you want, from the saddle.
This is the simplest way.
Good idea hooks.

I must say I really like it. If you keep doing this, in a year or two we will have another PaM legend.

Sorry if this is a little threadomancy, but I have not been on the forum much recently and thought that last figure deserved a comment. Firstly to say I like what you have done with it, whilst on the surface it would seem to not have enough blades coming off every part of it's body to be an effective DE there is something suitably arrogant and menacing about the pose to make it work for me. What is the original figure it is based on?

And I like the look of the GW, I often feel that although the draich is beautiful to behold it never seems to be a practical weapon.

Daphos, Twisted Dark Elf by Hasslefree. He comes with a really boring little sword, but it is a great pose. Yes I really must give him some flesh hooks - but like the title says, WIP.

Thanks for kind words

Sorry if this is a little threadomancy,

Very little. There is only six hours between those posts...

The model looks cool, but the face could be a bit more evil- although with paintjob you can achieve much. The pose and the weapon are particularly beautiful.

The last model looks stunning, great pose and weapon, but there's one thing. The head. It doesn't look very elvish to me. I don't know how hard changing the head would be, but unless it's too much of a hastle, I would have done it if it was my model.
