That's silly! Playin with little statues, pretendin' they're fightin'! Why not just round up a bunch of real goblins and lettem' whack it out?
Simply awsome. Love your stuff lion. Inspiration to us all
Never underestimate the power of sheer bloody minded spite.

Really cool army! Me too used 5th edition cold ones with 6th edition riders! The HEAVIEST cavalry ever, if you know what I mean
Your harpy is lovely if only I bought old metal daemonettes when they were available..... damn me!

Yep, the old metal days made for really heavy armies to lug around. I like the new COK both riders and steeds, but I think the old metal raptor ones are still quite cool.
I plan to eventually get around to making girl Cold One Knights. I have one complete, I just need to make the rest.
Thanks for the compliments, all. The guys were featured in UK WD after the GT Final. Little did they know....my scheme all along was to make an all chick DE army. It just took a while to make it happen.
...and Bassman: Next time I'm in Milano, I'll try and let you know.....

Sure, you will be welcome. We can chat about the hobby during the tour of the city
Do you havea chick knight! Move up, we want to see her
I think the new cold ones are really cool but when I built my DE army it was the days when real men played with metal dolls!

Hi Lion of Flanders, I actually have the issue of WD with the pics of your army in front of me. You have an amazing army there! I'm looking at re-painting my Dark Elf army and was looking for a better skin-tone. I had the pics of your army, as I'd like to duplicate that color. It's great! Is there any chance that you could tell me your recipe? :-) Don't worry about me stealing your look, because there's no way mine will turn out as good as yours. Haha Thanks!

Hey All:
Thanks for the compliments. I've always put a lot of blood sweat and tears into my armies and fussed over the little details, particularly relating to conversions, i.e. trying to make them so that a person unfamiliar with the GW figure ranges wouldn't know they were converted.
The skin is a pretty simple mix (which I highly recommend of you want to reproduce it over hundreds of figures and possibly years)
Codex grey base
Highlight with codex grey mixed with increasing amounts of elf flesh (adds some "life" to the grey color)
finally add a bit of B Bone to the mix for topmost highlights.

Seeing these pics in White Dwarf was one of the things (the awesome fluff being the other) that finally convinced me that I needed to be a Druchii player.
These are every bit as awesome now as they were almost seven years ago - and I still can't paint anywhere near that good !
