I think Darkmark means something like the warriors' hands in my Plog. Look on the first page.

Ah, I missed that detail when I was looking through your plog (nice stuff!). Had a look through some other stuff too, and I like the gloves. So, the question is, keep the 'grey leather' theme through to the gloves, which makes sense to me as his shoes are also grey, or have him in some dashing blue gloves.

So, behold!

The lighting in the 'blue' photos is not great, but even so, I prefer the grey. I think the blue looks a bit too much like smurf-skin, whereas the grey looks like he is wearing gloves. My only concern is it might be too much grey?

Once again please excuse the 'quick and dirty paint job'. Purely for comparison purposes (at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it).

This is the last decision on my Warriors colour scheme (apart from the banner, but I'll burn that bridge when I get there). Any thoughts?

I also think the grey is better. The greyish colour scheme draws attention to the shield, which I think is a good thing. :)

In all seriousness though, is drawing attention to the shields always a good thing? Particularly if you are like me and pretty mediocre at painting the troops, never mind their shields....?

Thanks for the help/input y'all. Will certainly be going with the grey!

@ Noble korhedron - I think the sculpted shield is much nicer to look at than the warriors. If that was not the case, I would agree with you. I'll just have to make sure the shields are spot on!

So, thanks again everyone. Hopefully the next post I start will be my PLOG! (but don't hold your breath, it might be awhile)....

The completed warrior with shield looks excellent.

A dark and brooding theme...very Druchii

Just in case you weren't convinced enough, my vote is for the grey too! :)

Great looking test mini, I'm loving how dark the model is overall (in feel rather than paint necessarily), awesome stuff!
