I tried not to be bitter and twisted about not getting any new DE models in ET, but giving them to Skaven! that is worse than favouring dwarves!, well a bit anyway. On the plus side, one of the Druchii threads showed some awesome alternative Morathi DP models, so still in my happy place

To be fair...almost all of the elves got significant model upgrades recently when their books came out with Dark Elves fairing the best. Half the skaven line is in finecast (including the Verminlord).
This Vermin Lord seems suspiciously like the time they gave Chaos Warriors the knights on juggernauts. Within a matter of months, Warriors had a new book...So it seems reasonable that we'll see the Skaven fully redone within 6 months at the latest.

Ace work with the stats - and I quite like the thing. It seems fair, and nicely themed. Enough of a punch to make an impact and get Skaven players excited without everyone else kicking off and moaning about it.

Yep - that is fair. We are broadly spoilt, and, of course, have access to a tonne of awesome kits from other Elves, Dark Eldar, etc. Cool to see quality stuff coming out for any army too. Sorry I had a mini moan!

Well, most of the magic rules are still optional or conditional on taking an ET:K army. The only rule the ET books have changed for the game is the 50% Lord allowance (I think).

Well in fairness you are only "forced" to use End Times Magic if; The Scenario states it, atleast 1 player uses an Elf Legion, or uses a unit from the book. or you simply want to use it. So still alot of room to not use it ;P
My grandma...what a long tail you have. Seriously, I kind of hate GW for making all the new models with tall thin pointy parts that catch my shirt every time I lean over to move some units. Nothing says "Oh Joy" like breaking a nicely painted model the first time you play with it.

Problem solved!

ROFLMAO! That would help with all the dice I have to pick off the floor too!
I have a sinking feeling that the entire Council of Thirteen will be getting a guernsey in the End Times, as Vermin Lords of one stripe or another. While the old Skaven player in me is quietly squeeful, I enjoyed them being an ominous council of evilness.
The ones we currently know about are Seer-type (whomever the new Seerlord is), Ninja-type (Clan Eshin) and Ogre-type (Clan Moulder). I'd bet that a Pestilence-style one is likely to appear as well. Fingers crossed there's no technology-based ones... that would be terrifying.

Well I don't k now how canon Black Library novels are, but when Thanquoul contacted the council in the Gotrek and Felix novels, they mostly seemed like regular-size Skaven to me....
Thanks for the heads-up, T.D. Hopefully it means no magitek Vermin Lords (which should increase Ikit Claw's chances of surviving the Skaven End Times book).

That may be, but the End Times have a penchant for making changes.
I mean, Malekith and the Everqueen got hitched, Tyrion turned evil, and just look at what happened to Ulthuan!

Given the age of Ikit's model, I don't rate his chances...
