Re: Next ET books
I think they come with a 5+ ward save, and the magic one can either have a 4+ ward save or an extra thrown attack.

I'd pretty much always take the 4+ ward save. Who wouldn't?!T.D. wrote:I think they come with a 5+ ward save, and the magic one can either have a 4+ ward save or an extra thrown attack.

Re: Next ET books
Live on GW's site now - the text is kind of unfortunate though...
"The powers of all the Skaven clans in one Verminlord. Yours to command, but at what cost?" Errr... €71... You've written it right next to the question, guys.

Thankfully, you don't have to choose when you're selecting the model. The +1 to ward save is standard on the Warpseer, but you can sacrifice that bonus in-game for the throwing attack (which works like the Brass Orb).

Deceiver is the bomb.
skitterleap across the board away from potential danger, then crack's call along an artillery line. He's now safe from anything that can kill him fast. His stars will shred hordes real fast and slaves will bog down elites.
Kind of sad i sold my skaven now... but i still wouldn't find the will to paint so many rats.

Is this tactic assuming Khaine Magic in use? Because what sane opponent will let this guy get off Skitterleap under regular magic phase? And if you are playing Khaine magic you need to survive the 2-3 Miasma's dropping this guy to initiative 2 and then the Pit of Shades taking him out (happened in my game to my demon prince

Beautiful model and on it's face they (Verminlords) have awesome stats that are not over powered. Even their price seems right until you factor in that base. A base that is about 3 times large than normal monsters. Even our dragon only comes on chariot size base. My 40mm Verminlord is probably over powered due to that.

Re: Next ET books
So a few spoilers have surfaced regarding the next evolution of the ET. Highlight to see.
- Apparently Ikkit successfully manage to poison the halls of that Dwarf Slayer City.
- A massive Skaven army is laying siege to Karaz-a-Karak
- Skavens activate some kind of machine, causing a meteoric rain to annihilate Itza. It is said that the Slaans start the Exodus at that point.
- A massive fleet is spotted from the North. Archaon is finally making his move.

Will be good to see what happens to the dwarfs and lizardmen and hopefully get them involved more in the end times.
Not too keen on that grey seer model atm, need a proper look at it before casting judgement, but the vermin lords look excellent.

I do like the dice especially.
Re: Next ET books
Another big base. Well at least this one just appears to be Chariot Sized. I am assuming Thanquol is getting the combined stat line like the other new monster riders are getting? But I do love the model and if one was so disposed he could have Thanquol mounted on a regular stand as generic Greyseer and use Boneripper as an alternate Hellpit Abomination model.

Definitely readable if you enlarge the attachment. Probably not great if you are on a smart device however.

So it seems we have a little more info on the story now.
Spoilers below. Highlight to view.
Spoilers below. Highlight to view.
Thanqouls army destroys nuln, the skaven blow up one of the *peaks*of karak eight peaks, its not clear if the dwarfs there die or retreat, but the final battle is between queek and skarnsik, some doom engine is activated and itza is destroyed, it does not mention who is dead, just that it is destroyed, clan pestilence start a huge invasion of lustria, which is turned back at one point but then the assault is renewed. Ends with siege of middenheim (by the skaven).

So, I took like ~6 months off Warhammer; and I have to say I am extremely confused. Could someone please explain what exactly is going on.
