The joys of having many armies to do at the same time! I really like your chariot. Th scaling variety really works on the cold ones. As for points a week, it an be motivational but I like the models or unit approach aka 5cav 10 infantry etc and would aim for a week but be quite happy to get them done in two.

I think that may be a good idea Booah. One bare unit from the army book (i.e, 10 darkshards, or 1 chariot) per week sounds fairly reasonable. On another note...

I return!

With very little to show for my extended period of absence. But here's some pictures of an appropriated Imperial Griffon, broken to serve the will of its druchii masters.



Still got some work to do with regards to highlights, the guy balancing precariously on the front especially because he'll probably end up being my general (despite his severely bent sword, a result of him picking a fight with my mother while she was tidying up). There will also be a fair amount of blood added right as soon as I can be bothered walking to GW or hobbycraft. Quite proud of the whites on this guy though, much better than they usually are.

Also, a series of unexpected events have transpired recently. Firstly it turns out my girlfriend is a decent painter (pictures of her first ever painted model below).



And one thing led to another and now this is happening as a joint project...



New paints arriving tomorrow, along with some retarder medium so I can try my hand at wet blending, and some PVA glue so I can add snow to the base of the griffon. Updates will follow!

EDIT: Hopefully people should be able to see the images now. If you still can't, please let me know so I can fiddle about some more

Hmm, this is upsetting and I have no idea why it's happening... have you tried viewing it on a few different devices?

Wrathbaby looks like you are posting the URL to the page the images are on and not the URL of the actual image - that is why your photos are not displaying on the forum.

If on a PC try right clicking on the image and select Properties, copy the URL from there or Past links to your images using the URL tag

Hope this helps - would love to see more of your work.

The newest griffon or the first one? If the newest one, can you see the other pictures in that post? (the lizardmen and cold one).

I edited the links to those images to test and see if what I was doing was correct before doing it to every posted image so far, so if you can see everything in that post then I should be able to change the rest and everything will be ok.

It took me about 30 seconds to get that the griffon is probably just a manticore? I like the model but not the proxy.

Phierlihy, I suppose that's what it would have to be yeah, that or a dragon. Tbh I just bought it because it's been my favourite model since I started playing warhammer and really wanted to paint it. I rarely use dragons or mantic ores anyway.

Apologies for the sub par images that are coming up, but it's 1:24am and the bathroom lighting had to do.

Made some decent progress on the bastiladon, just need to do a tiny bit more work on the skinks, inspect for any white bits remaining (spraying models white is so much harder than spraying them black), and then base him. Quite proud of this guy if I'm honest, it turned out a lot better than I was expecting it to.



Should have him finished tomorrow and I'll attempt to get some pictures in daylight.

EDIT: Please ignore the broken skink spear, I just seem utterly incapable of not breaking spears on any of my models.
