They look like they belong more in a 40k game than fantasy. And they look like something to attract 12 year olds to the game.
(no offense if you yourself are 12...it's just the vibe I get, and it's not a direction that appeals to me.)

Least we forgot the new 32mm bases!
Its going to be boiled down to Goodies Vs Baddies in fantasy.

Hope so. Much better than the baddies vs. badddies of 40K.
Actually the only thing I liked better in 40k was that all factions were baddies to a more or less extent, which I find quite realistic, while in WHFB it is ways too much good vs bad, i.e. too far from reality.

I agree with you there. 40k has always been "Which flavour of genocidal maniac do you prefer?"

I think fantasy has included it, but it has been far too subtle...borderline political. The Empire has been drifting towards zealotry for a while, but the game has never had the big badass story to back it up with (until now).
ET is Warhammer's Horus Heresy. An Empire undone, the Elves made homeless, heroes of light and dark and Chaos seemingly unstoppable.

40k has good guys: - Space Marines (of various flavours) - Imperial Gua...Astra Militarum - Tempestus Militarum - The Inquisition - Sisters - Tau - Eldar
and bad guys: - Chaos (Daemons and Mortals) - Orks - Tyrannids - Necrons - Dark Eldar Yes, the good guys are very flawed and far from "pure good" but they are definitely the good guys. But we've had this argument on here before...

Cynic.
I'm with Gidean on this.
I can get into the Warhammer fluff because of the ideals that (formerly) motivated the races. There is a sense of optimism despite the chaos in the old FB Universe.
40k is a great Universe, but just too Grimdark for my tastes. I can only handle so much grimdark.

A lot of speculation around, but nothing really new seems to have surfaced.
This is the only new stuff I have seen.
via an anonymous source on Faeit 212 I wanted to restate that Archaon is on his steed on the cover of book 2, but its not a new model. There are other characters I have seen briefly, like -Grimgor, Incarnate of Beasts. The model shown is the same as the current model. -Balthasar, Incarnate of Metal. Same model again as is current
New models I have seen, include a kit that makes three bloodthirster models. These are in the book and are different Monster (characters). They range from 400-550pts.
Taken from memory they are -Headmen of Khorne with Wrathaxe and Bloodflail standing on flames leaping into the air -Unfettered Fury with Axe and Whip standing on the ground -Reaver of the Bloody Path with two handed great axe standing leaping high on flames
Also two new units with new models -Skullreapers: The Chosen of Khorne with 2 handed swords and other weapons -Wrathmongers: The Bringers of the Bloodstorm with chain like flails
